imput CD key what!?!

i know theres a way to see a games cd key i just forgot any help?

It's in steamapps\common\Dominions5. File dom5key have needed info.

I have occasionally gotten password windows with Steam, and I have never needed to input any password for any game. This is...interesting.

When you run the game the first time through Steam, it creates the file that Smiling Spectre mentioned in his post.

There has always been a CD key but better platform intergration has put out of the users vision

Also, note that you don't need to run the game through Steam at all, if it continues to cause trouble; simply go to the game's file folder and run Dominions5.exe.

That will still ask for the cd-key, and running the game through Steam once is how it actually generates the dom5key file for the first time (this confirmed by the devs, unless they changed it in recent patches without mention and for some reason).

i tried running the game through the browse local files then to the exe and it failed so either im doing something wrong or its just being a pain

You still need this cd-key activated before you can play. Otherwise, yes, exe from local files must work (I didn't check it for D5 though).
