Linux Compatibility?
Any plans for a linux update, or anyway that i can play this on linux as it seems to fail in wine due to the .net framework?

it doesn't looks that US3 will have unix support, but mac support has been confirmed, you could try asking on the official forums, if you want a better answer

Universe Sandbox ² (formerly 3) may likely have Linux support, but this is not something we're ready to promise yet.

+1! Thanks for thinking of Linux. So is the current version Universe Sandbox 2?

The current version on Steam (v2) is Windows only.

I see. Well it looks cool, I'm an instant purchase if it comes to Linux :D

Changed my mind. Don't want it now. User "Ron Jeremy" done turned me off with his petty and small-minded "I will buy 4 copys if you don't port it to linux" comment.

That sounds quite petty to me. I will still be buying. I can't find that comment, but I assume he was just joking, and wont really do so.

Looks like he deleted his comment. Doesn't matter whether he would really do so or not. I'm just tired of his kind. Too many years of harassment over my preferred operating system. It's unnecessary. I don't harass folk over their choice to use a virus-ridden piece of junk operating system. Why must I always be a target because I chose a different path? Besides, I ain't gonna beg for the privilege to pay for a game. If it comes to Linux, fine. If not, also fine. I've got enough other gaming options that I need not waste the energy worrying over a single game that could be easily ported to Linux, Mac, and even Android, if the author so chose (Unity fully supports export to Linux; Check out the game "Rochard" for one working example.)

Count me in as someone that would buy if there was a Linux version.

+1 for Linux support :)

Linux support is more likely than when I last posted in December, but we're still not ready to commit to Linux support for certain.

Hi Dan, That is great news. A bunch of indie developers have traveled the Linux road already so a lot of the challenges have been identified and even resolved, in some cases. Take Valve, for example. They started off supporting Steam for Linux on Ubuntu but now we can run Steam for Linux on almost every flavor of Linux under the sun. The Linux community played a big part too.

You can find a whole bunch of Linux gamers in the Steam for Linux forum:

Count me in for Linux support, beta testing, or just spreading the word about your company's amazing simulator.

Would love to see this ported to Linux.

Any updates? I would love to buy this during the sale, and I'm sure I'm not alone.
