I was one that had such issues in the past, making the WMR unplayable for the time being. Just hoping something got fixed.

I got it to launch once since the update. Can't really recall the steps but it was nothing like usual ie Steam/WMRSVR/DCS

Best bet it is to simply roll back by selecting the opt out of beta under WMR from Steam library. Restart Steam.
Yup: I was more pissed as I was in the middle of trying to optimize for a new 6900XT install xD
Optimize rendering and improve GPU memory usage.
And Apply hidden area stencil correction to cure visual artifacts in the periphery.
I need motion smoothing, so turning that off (as fearlessfrog mentioned) isn't an option for me.
