Yes! There shouldn't be any issues with going between builds with your save. If you want to make extra certain you can back up your saves. They are located in C:\Users\username\AppData\LocalLow\Eastshade Studios\Eastshade. Although, again, there shouldn't be any issues with it :) .
The game's performance though is still sub-par. For example, I can get 90-120 fps in certain outdoor locations with CPU and GPU usage well below 100% but standing in front on a wall (with nothing else visible) results in 67% GPU usage and a framerate of 57 fps. Turn around and move forward to the door where I see out across the town and the framerate hits 68 fps!!! It doesn't make any sense that I should have a sub-60 fps framerate while viewing a brick wall with nothing else visible. It's almost like the game is not culling scenery that should not be visible but it seems to a common issue in my experience with Unity engine games (which isn't the most optimised engine out there, let's be honest).
P.S. PC specs are i7-4770K @ 4.2 GHz, 16 GB, GTX 1080 Ti, Windows 10 Pro v1809 using the latest v419.17 WHQL driver. I am also running the game at maxed out 2560x1440 settings with TAA.
Edit: Specs are Win 10 64 bit. i7-6700k @ 4.00 GHz. 16 GB RAM. GTX 1070. Running highest settings at 1080.
If you have a version installed currently, Uninstall it. Then set up a new installation and while it's installing, switch to the beta. Might work. Might not.
(These are not problems other people have. Please uninstall the game and download it again.)
Are you having the sleep crash issues in the beta branch specifically?
I don't even know. We're in the midst of another round of performance improvements. We were hoping to have it done and to the main branch a week ago but continue to run into road blocks and difficulties. All I can say is we're going as fast as we can :/
