Apologies, did you see this line in the patch notes? “Map: Added a ping and location marker to show the area the player is in.”
And what's the cherry on the top. Just because I am being killed by mobs, I alt+f4 from the game, because I can't press any direction, mouse and keyboard doesn't work, can't navigate the menus.
30 hrs of gameplay are completely gone, because of how the saves are done in this game. Because of the patch or what. Because of how this is programmed.
Wow.
Just frikkin wow.
1) Go into Steam's Big Picture Mode (icon in the top right corner of the Steam client) and go to Settings > Controller Settings and make sure "Xbox Configuration Support" is ticked.
2) Right-click Darksiders Genesis in your Steam library and select Properties > Controller and make sure that "Use default settings" is selected, with a blue dot in front of "Xbox Controller".
3) Also in the Darksiders Genesis Steam settings, go to Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files and let that run to make sure nothing got corrupted when installing the patch.
See if that fixes your issues.
Thanks for geting over my outburst and trying to help. The game in generall is actually pretty nice, a good deed.
EDIT: Never mind, I got issued a refund.
