Was the ingame music self made?
Playing 7 days to die and some of the music in it is oddly familiar

That does sound very similar.

It seems their track is styled heavily after 28 Days Later's theme, and one of our tracks has portions likely styled after it as well.

Music for Star Ruler was composed by Artem Bank. If you check his bandcamp page, you'll see he has the Star Ruler soundtracks available for download/play
