Howdy Folks!

The Phone Home Update is now available on the experimental branch! Let me know what you think and what doesn't work as expected. Be sure to read the release notes below for the full list of additions, changes and fixes.

SAVE GAMES
Save games created in experimental may not be compatible with the main branch or compatible with the final update. Be sure to back up your save files or only create new save files while in the experimental branch.

The optional Experimental branch is for helping test the latest features in active development. This version can include more bugs/issues than in the regular version. If playing the Experimental Branch, please report any issues you encounter or any feedback on new game play mechanics. Your feedback and/or reports will help to ensure the final version is the best it can be.

Latest Changes/Fixes :: Build 1227
  • POIs in poi list will now show a mission button if related to a mission objective
  • Fixed: Mission hover icon on POI locations not removed when mission is complete in some instances
  • Fixed: Unable to complete Tome Of Knowledge mission
  • Fixed: Missing objective description for part two of Tome Of Knowledge mission
  • Fixed: Incorrect button click audio on research screen section buttons

I can not complete very first "Overslept" mission :)
Moreover, if I save then load, mission names seems to be doubled, some have broken text "Objective name 0/#".
My guess is that you do not clean table with missions before load :)

Edit: Regarding being unable to complete the first mission. Are you running any mods?

I was using mods, but I removed all. I recorded this for you:

I had to kill load at the end, I think it hanged because I tried to delete "Overslept" mission.

Thanks! Found the issue. Will be fixed in the next experimental patch update.

Latest Changes/Fixes :: Build 1228
  • Added Icon for aluminium powder item
  • Fixed: Unable to untrack a tracked mission
  • Fixed: Some mission objectives not registered as being complete
  • Fixed: Certain mission objectives causing save file to not load
  • Fixed: Tracked missions not cleared properly when reloading a game or returning to the main menu. This causes duplicate or phantom missions in the tracked mission list.

Posted some bugs in the bug sub forum. Overslept mission is fixed now, and mods are working great again, thank you.

Regarding mission order, not enough copper to complete 2 generators - had to build science station first - then delete it/rebuild it and room to complete mission.

Thanks for the feedback. If you deconstruct the starting stasis capsules there is enough copper for the EMGs. Agreed there could be some clarity on that in terms of adding an objective to deconstruct the stasis pods or only requiring one EMG to be constructed. Thanks again. :)

I think it's just a difficulty problem - playing on hard so only got 2 pods to start (thought it was going to be just 1,but that would have made it imposs without finding more pods)

Ah. Fair enough. Was not considering the difference in difficulty, but I suppose it did make it harder. ;) Will factor that in. Thanks for the additional info.

  • Added Ammonium recipe
  • Added Solid Rocket Fuel item icon, recipe and research
  • Added Intelligent Life discovery category and items
  • The POI for the knowers will now be removed after getting the rocket parts mission
  • Fixed: Load crash that can occur if reloading a save game in some instances
  • Fixed: Some missions with multiple objectives showing incorrect objective descriptions

I cannot make an expedition, because it is not possible to use raw food now. Is it intentional change?
It adds hidden dependency between elevator and kitchen, that is not shown in technology window. If I know that kitchen is requred, I would build kicthen, not speedrun elevator, keeping all on raw potatos.

This hasn't changed. Meals are and have been required for expeditions. Meals are required specifically for the reason you suggest. If you could just use raw food there would be little reason for the kitchen. While this connection isn't shown directly in the tech tree, the kitchen research is available before elevator research.

My bad, my memory fooled me.
Random connections between technologies is what made me rage quit this game twice, but this is a separate topic.
