Developer Introduction
Howdy!

My name is Tim Pelham and I'm your developer for Mercury Fallen. I am an artist, programmer and the founder of Nitrous Butterfly. I am also the sole developer of Mercury Fallen.

Mercury Fallen started design/prototyping in early 2016. By late 2016 I was able to focus more time on the game which lead to great progress in early 2017.

The game was released on Itch.IO in April 2017. Itch.IO was a great platform to help generate initial feedback about the game. Mercury Fallen had several updates on Itch.IO to resolve various issues and add a lot of new content. I'm very excited that Mercury Fallen is now on Steam and I'm eager to grow to the community and continue updating the game.

I have a lot of exciting updates planned and look forward to suggestions/feedback from you. It's only by working together that we can make Mercury Fallen the best it can be. As a solo developer I certainly have a lot on my plate, but will do the best that I can to deliver great updates and communicate with you all.

I look forward to working together. :)

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing where this games goes! I'm currently uploading my episode 1 for release tomorrow, and it's a bit longer than it should be, even after some editing, because I kept wanting to do more digging and more building, which is a good sign. Keep up the good work! :-D

I really am! I was a bit scared to try at first because I wasn't sure if it's what I wanted but I was able to try through a friend first for a little while...and that sold me. I would really reccommend you release a demo, even if it's an older version....just something that will get people hooked enough to try. It's a shame games don't do demos standard anymore. Then again the Towns demo was way better than the actual game because they messed up the controls and interface, made it unplayable lol.

Also super psyched to see such an awesome project from a lone developer!! :D My fiance and I are trying to develop a game in Unity, we're doing a top down 2D game but seeing this really makes me wonder about 3D haha. We started making pixel art also and realised how badly we suck at it so it might take us a while to produce more than just an epic storyline LOL. But you're now one of our sources of inspiration, right alongside Stardew Valley ha ha :D.

So yeah really appreciate what you're doing, I think you're awesome and so is this game, and I hope you keep it up with this game and more in the future :D.

Thanks. There has been a lot of great content added into the game and a lot more coming. I do my best to keep the community up to date and the feedback has been great to hear, even the bug reports. ;)

I just picked up your game. I was impressed with all the things I saw and read about the game, and even though I don't normally go with Early Access games, I thought it would be good to support a Dev who is active in his game's community, and had done a great job so far.

I will be playing this on a Mac running El Capitan, and I hope you are able to keep the Mac versions development progressing right along with the Windows PC version.

I would imagine that the biggest challenge you will face is getting the computer characters to behave in a normal and rational manner. In all of these kinds of games, Rimworld, Maia, Life in Bunker, Oxygen Not Included etc., the biggest complaint is always something like "Ya, everyone in my village starved to death even though they were standing right next to a big pile of food!":steamfacepalm:

Thanks! I do my best to communicate and be open with the community. When new updates come out they are available for both PC and Mac. I greatly appreciate the support! :)
