Let this be a lesson to you, kids : Every time you move something inside Steam from A to B, you first make a full copy of it and stash it away somewhere, in case it goes kaput. Editing in everything I lost will probably not even be worth the time investment at painstainkingly going through all of the items and guessing an estimate at what you had, let alone the new game +++++++++++++++++++ or something where I've been at, trying to find the last few items I need to finish the encyclopedia.
Most of the adventurers had the very best gear too T_T
It depends on how much time you put into the game. I haven't lost my save, but I never unlocked new game +. I'm trying to unlock it without getting a game over and without using the internet for information. I have played it for 14+ hours and it's one of the best translated indie games I own.
Yes, I have learned a lesson for life with this, don't you worry. I backed up every single save I have on my PC to an external HDD.
Ah, so that's how it is. You sound like me, trying to get everything in a game :P
Might actually buy this game. Seems like the game that I would put lots of hours into.
I wish steam has clouding for Recettear..
