Yes, selling at 120% wil give you a larger relative profit, but you miss out on all the bonusses that come with increased merchant levels and customer reputation. With higher merchant levels comes more expensive items, and better customer rep gives the customers bigger budgets.
The recommended range is 105-110%. That will keep the just combo running with pin bonusses. Overall, this will make you about 70% more money in the first few weeks than selling at 120%, because you'll have more expensive stuff to sell and the customers will be able to buy them as well.
