Team Salvato is doing something. DDLC is only the start.

We all went through the story.
(And if you haven't quit reading this and finish the damn game.)

And we have seen what happened. A girl named Monika had sentience and tried to be with you, doing various horrible things. She regretted what happened and tried to let you be with the other girls. Then Sayori started to ruin things, so Monika had to put an end to the club. And that's all she wrote.

Or is it?

As many of you know, the chr files can be renamed to other formats in order to find pictures, audio files, etc.

And through these, we can see that something is going on. Something much bigger. And Doki Doki Literature Club is only a small part of that plan.
I would explain, but the DDLC wiki does a better job than I could.

I would post links to the wiki's articles on the .chr files and about the Project, but steam deletes those links. Just search in google for the wiki and look around.

So Doki Doki Literature Club is a way of teasing this future project. Everything that happened in the story, with Monika, with Sayori, with the club... All of it barely even has to do with that the team is doing. But it served as a way to introduce something to us.

Something is happening. Doki Doki Literature Club was only an experiment. There is a much bigger story going on, something even larger than Monika and The Club. We need to figure out more about this Libitina girl, and what Team Salvato is planning.

This could be a story about a psychic weapon. A girl being experimented on with supernatural abilities. Just like Monika, if not worse. The picture from Natsuki.chr could be Libitina herself. it could be someone or something closely connected to her.

Plus, the "Third eye" is something prevalent throughout all of this. Whatever this third eye is, it's something bad.

Hell, if Yuri.chr's document ties into this, then this entire ordeal could be something much worse. If the document is talking about Libitina, than that could only mean one thing. She is dangerous.

And the book Yuri was reading: "Portrait of Markov". It has an eye symbol on the front, and refers to a human experimentation camp. Doesn't Project Libitina's document sound like a human experiment?

However, the only thing we can do is wait. "2018", said Monika.chr's document. We just have to wait for Team Salvato to release the next game. At least, I think it is a game.

From here on however, we do have things to watch out for. If Team Salvato or the members of said team post, release, or talk about ANYTHING... Analyse it. Look for more possible mentions of Libitina, or the Third Eye. Try to see if anything can be decoded further.

This is an ARG Team Salvato is starting, and we are going to see it through.

Perhaps the next thing they release will be another game. Hell, it may not even be an anime visual novel. It could be a pixelated RPG or something. Nevertheless, keep an eye out for anything with Team Salvato's name on it.

We need to solve this mystery.

Honestly, I think it'll be a completely different game. Not a visual novel at all. If you watch Matt Pat on game theory on youtube he explains his theory. How monika says she messes with the other characters 'ai' or 'parameters' to make them more dis-likeable. But in a visual, there is no ai or parameters. It's just a script the character says, because there is no reason for a complex ai like in rpg games. So maybe it'll be a horror survival game, or something.

That's what i don't quite like about it. Games like these are completly scripted. The .chr files don't really do anything if the game doesn't want them to (it doesn't matter if they are copied back into the game). also files .chr have nothing to do with that ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borland_Graphics_Interface ) They are not the acuall character file. also the game can be restarted by putting the .chr files back and deleting "firstrun" which will make the game ask you if you want to delete you safe file.

I just hope Team Salvato don't pull the FNAF effect on this. Cause I'm pretty sure Scott Cawthon never intended to make a story big enough to drag itself for 6 games when he first made FNAF 1, he just threw some backstory in small easter eggs. I bet he was never like "Well, I hope my game becomes a massive hit, and if it does maybe I'll make a bigger story for it."

And as a lot of people might agree, for a story to have at least a somewhat satisfactory ending (at least IMHO) the creator must know how he/she wants it to end before it even begins. And I'm so excited for the rest of Doki Doki's story, so I hope they deliver something great in the future. It has been awesome so far.

It also says 2018, there is no way to do it right now. It's probably an advertisement for a new game or some patch for the game in 2018

Also it could be the Main Character speaking in Monika's chr, that's why speakers name is not said in there:
"I guess I should...introduce myself, or something. Um...my name is...actually, that's stupid. You obviously already know my name. Sorry."

In Monika's poems, she mentioned about this lady who knows everything and also made Monika self aware and able to see through "the hole in the wall". Is it possible that the lady in Monika's poem is the lady in the png file in Natsuki's .chr file

Libitina Is Yuri. Plus In the next game , Sayori , Natsuki , and YURI will appear and lets not forget Monika. But this time MONIKA will be the hero and YOU will be the 2nd Hero. Now who is the villian? Its the killing machine. The third eye. WHICH IS YURI. Or should I say,Libitina. Libitina Was kidnapped in age 3 and was a human experiment. She turned into a killing machine. And what happened later I think , someone magically (somehow) added Yuri , Monika , Sayori , And Natsuki to the DDLC. Later Monika found out about DDLC and Found out about Libitina which resulted of her being self-aware.
