I'm guessing its a precursor of some sort; since it's not on Steam, a "remaster" might not actually be a good thing since it might just be too old for a new paintjob to be sufficient to bring it into the modern world.
Aside from that, if it's a good game, I'll consider getting it -- regardless of whether it's called "Castlevania - Symphony of the Night", "Bloodstained -- Ritual of the Night 2", "Bloodstained -- The Pre-Sequel" or "Dorothy and the magic castle". It's the game that matters, not the title.

Also, and this is gonna be a hot take, but more on topic with the game that this discussion board is for, but I'm ready for Bloodstained 2 at this point. This is not a game whose multiplayer they added in is the main draw on the level of something like Counter-Strike. Some of us already played the game when it released four years ago, and them rebalancing things, patching in new playable characters and modes has drawn the development out all because of some stupid promises made on a crowdfunding platform no one cares about anymore. The era of the "totes-not-niche-thing-that-big-companies-don't-care-to-make-new-entries-that-the-players-want-anymore" spiritual successor died when Mighty No. 9 released in the state that it did along with all of the preceding drama that this and I'm sure Bloodstained and Shenmue 3 also dealt with. I get that Shovel Knight and other games are Kickstarter success stories, but those were indie developers who, while taking cues from games that they played growing up, weren't trying to ride off of an era where people were supposedly longing for a new Megaman or Castlevania when the fact is, the best games that people can make of both are the fans, and there's plenty of romhacks, fangames, and even a Megaman Maker for the former. Them releasing paid DLC 4 years later to me comes off as IGA and 505 Games trying to milk a game that I and probably others have got my fill of a long time ago, and I have plenty of Metroidvanias to go and play that I have in my library.
Before all this woke nonsense, studios were having trouble with remakes already.
They would ♥♥♥♥ it up so bad.
Well, by that pathetic attempt at something that you are refer to as "logic", video games like Doom I/(1993), Doom II: Hell on Earth, Castle Crashers, Terraria, and Minecraft shouldn't get new content, either, yet the classic Doom video games not only literally thrive on it, but that they also get even whole new video games that are based on their architecture as well, such as Selaco and Fallen Aces, and they also even inspire whole new video games, such as Alien Vs. Predator (Sony PlayStation 3/Microsoft Xbox 360/PC), among other Aliens FPS games, which all began, thanks to Aliens TC, Duke Nukem 3D onward owes its existence to the classic Doom video games, and ditto for the Marathon Trilogy, etc. Minecraft also thrives on both official, as well as fan made, DLC, as does Terraria to a lesser extent. Basically, if you are going to accuse video game companies of milking a good franchise, then you are ironically NOT a fan of video games, as well as video game franchises, as, by having tons of new things added to modding communities, you ensure that not just video games survive, but that even whole genres of video games survive.
