Achievement "Watch the DELTA" does not work

I'm already buying the second set of all group А cars, but still haven't got the achievement "Watch the DELTA"

The progress of achievement 3/4. Free Subaru long ago sold for 0 credits

What to do?

Does this work on PS4 too? I've bought all the cars several times over and not working for me either.

Just to confirm: Do I enter my current Group A car into a Weekly or Monthly event, do one stage and then buy another from the classifieds?

I've tried this with the Delta and it didn't pop the trophy, so onwards with either the Evo or Cosworth...

Just to summarize:

• Have all the GROUP A (or B) cars (one piece of each).
  
• Start carrier championship with one of GROUP A (B) cars (Say, Lancia).
  
• Start the first stage, but return to the main menu.
  
• Go to the garage and buy one new piece of GROUP A (B) car, if you went into the championship with Lancia, pick Lancia.
  
• Two things may happen here - nothing or car will account towards the achievement.
  
• If it's not unlocked yet - simply restart championship - it's an option in championships menu. Don't worry, it won't suspend your rank or anything, it will reset the progress of the championship you just started, so no harm is done. Repeat the whole process with the next car of a given group, until you covered them all.

For me this solved the trouble, I was actually stuck with GROUP B achievement at 3/5 although I had at one point 3 sets of GROUP B cars.

It was the Mitsubishi EVO for me, so seems different for different players.

At the moment I have the Cosworth I just bought & the Impreza & Evo I've had since getting the game (not sure if I bought them or they were part of the Deluxe pack but it only registers as me having 1 out of 4, Once i have the money saved up I'll get an Integrale and then if it states 2 of 4 I'll have to sell both the EVO & Impreza & then buy them again.

It's a bug that should never have been there but in complex games like we get today things can easily be missed, I suppose once it fails to register a car for the achievement there's no way around it other than to re-buy the cars that never registered, even fixing the bug now won't help those of us already with it but they should fix it for those that are yet to buy the game the only question is Do they consider it a bug or are they saying cars you're given don't count as cars you've bought in game
It's a valid point as the key word in the achievements wording is Purchase..

• Watch the DELTA (4 Group A cars total)
  
• Living the Dream (5 Group B AWD cars total)

achievements.

The only slight thing I stumbled over was the

• "Go to the garage and buy one new piece of GROUP A (B) car, if you went into the championship with Lancia, pick Lancia."

part. I thought you meant upgrade engine/part of the gear via Garage of the car in the championship. But that is not possible while the car in question is actually in the event. So it became clear that you meant

• "Go to the garage and re-buy the car presently in the championship, i.e. buy the GROUP A (B) car AGAIN, so that you own that car twice."

Please, note this is just me being ultra explicit.


For those wondering what car's were causing the issue for me:

• Working to get Watch the DELTA I bought car by car for Group A, and took very careful note which purchase did not update the achievement counter. For me that was the 2nd purchase of the
  Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI
  that failed... did as Zenithie's (ZbP) explained, re-bought the Mitsubishi and the achievement unlocked.
  
  
• Working to get Living the Dream I was pretty certain (but had not explicitly paid any attention to the "missing car") that the Audio Sport Quattro S1 S2 (the car you get with the Deluxe Season 1+2 pass) was not registering. Nope... it turns out the
  MG Metro 6R4
  was not getting counted, re-bought it and the achievement unlocked. Actually had to go through all 5 five cars until I finally found the one that was causing the issue, to finally unlock the achievement.
