1.2 Stuttering
Is it just me or are other people also experiencing a huge increase in stuttering/small freezes.?

The daily H2 fwd, wet New Zealand stage was full of stutters for me but the stage I normally test for stutters runs fine.
So maybe?

i have more fps (85) then before. and it runs smooth with the settings before the patch.

I think i might have solved this. If you go into OSD settings and switch the rpm guages on with all views, then it will be fixed. You can turn it off again after without the stutters coming back too.

Zero stutter here. Runs very smooth.

On the contrary actually, used to get stutters like crazy before the patch, now it runs super smooth.
Will say, they reset all my graphic settings to 'high'. Game looked like dookie but ran flawless, I assumed they downgraded textures. I was beyond bummed until I went to my options/graphics menu realizing my settings were reset. Placing everything back on ultra made the game look as nice as before though.

I'd get stutters few times per stage pre patch, just ran a full event at New England, only stuttered one time during a stage out of 8 and may be related to puncturing my tyre as they occurred close to the same time.

Otherwise, very smooth and nice. I appreciate they optimized the game somewhat without hacking it to pieces, looks super sexy still and runs better. No complaints. Might be a good thing to check your graphic settings though and ensure they are set as you had them pre-patch to test for yourself. :) Cheers.
Have heavy stutter now too...

No stutter here.

Stutters as well here.

I'm getting stuttering too. Alt+Tab'd out to check resource usage in Task Manager and it fixed it in one stage but next Daily Challenge it remained almost unplayable that I retired.

Verified game cache and will try a restart.

Stutters here as well after 1.2 update due to fps slightly lower than 60 for some reason. Even if nothing was changed from my side. Lowered some graphics settings to maintain 60fps and now it is smooth. I have not researched more on this decrease in performance. Using RTX2070. Vsync on.

My FPS increased also (RX 480 8GB). I noticed that they increased the grass view distance and gave it a more natural fade. It looks way better but maybe this is causing people with lower end cards to stutter?

I also noticed a significant fps increase but also frequent stuttering mainly in Argentina and on the more open sections in the New England stages.
Lowering graphics settings or playing around with OSD setings does not make any change.

I confirm. Look at the frame time (line). This is after the patch. Not always, in some places.

I tried a few thing, sadly without any success :

Checking game files,
Lowering graphics settings (a bit better but still there),
A clean new install of the graphic drivers,
Restarted PC,
Other ingame settings (turn off HUD, turn off driver ...),
Disabled USB and reconfigured my devices,
Deleted config files,

The only thing I can't try is a clean install due to terrible internet.

No issue before this update on high to ultra graphic settings, game ran very smooth. I also checked and i have no issue in other games.

If you have the same issue try to contact Codemasters via the official forums or social medias (they are active on twitter) so they might actually react and do something.
