Update a few days later. With afterburner running / no stuttering at all even with increased High / ultra graphics ... OC GTX 980... nothing changed in the setup. ..??
Further update a few days later again. not sure how but no stuttering at all now. Looks very nice, runs well and smmoooth.
My opinion now... Dirt Rally was great... Dirt 4 was OK. ... Dirt Rally 2 Awesome!! (so far)
WELL! WTF!! a day later... graphics back to stuttering and gpu up and gown like a yoyo.. nothing in my pc or settings have changed since yesterday.. but WTF... stuttering like F**k!!!!!
I was clearly in a false sense of security with this game yesterday.!! I have never seen anything like this issue....
Hmm.. back to smooth and awesome again!!.. wtf.
Thank you so much Filip and thank you ALEX for showing this post. Seems like I have no clue how twitter works. :D <3
Can't wait for their fix. Until then I won't play too much, since it's really annoying. :'D
FYI, This was just posted in the main 1.1 patch thread
I made no changes to my PC. I have not had time to look into it yet, but I did verify that it is when the mouse is plugged in.
I fired up DR1 just to test, and that, along with my other games are unaffected.
I have a G502 also. Did you try the fix posted earlier? Works for me although its annoying. It just so happens that once my mouse gets disabled under 'Human Interface Devices' the stuttering stops. G920 wheel also.

I found it here.

Yep, it totally worked fine once I disabled that, but as you said, it's pretty annoying...So (and I don't know what the link would be) I did a clean install of the GFX drivers, and now it works fine even with my mouse plugged in. As I said, I don't know WHY this works, but it did...and I don't know why it was ONLY DR2.
