Replays in VR

Is it something i am not doing right or do the replays not work in VR ?? In Dirt 1 they work fine, a ton fun it is aswell

Yeah sucks, back to 2D replays, it was so much fun being able to look around in DR1. Made me feel like an actual spectator!

Yea, the feel of standing at the roadside watching yourself drive past is epic.

Had a glitch earlier that somehow got me in VR during the panning of the level after loading then pressed A and found myself at the service area in VR ??!! After a shakedown thou it went back to 2D :(

It makes no sense to me that this isnt mentioned more by others ?? I am grateful that we now have VR but the replays to me are half the fun of VR racing. I cant think of any other VR racer without the replays in VR ??? Ccodemasters are the masters of replays, they always have the camera pointing right where it needs to be qua action shot. PJ whoever does that please give em a thumbs up from me :)

I get why they wanted 2D Replays, because camera artistry isn't something you can do flexibly in VR, but I would really like it if we had the option of switching from 2D to VR replay views.

I still waiting for when I can get out of track more than a couple of meters before getting forced back to road with a 24s penalty . . . like, really, I want to explore at least a bit of environment there, even if I know the graphics quality will not be the same...

I still think you guys at VR will see what you want but I will never see this.

A free camera mode (2D or VR mode) would be nice even if just at replay (would allow to explore more of the map details and angles too).

Bring back full VR replays for gods sake! New ones in small flat(!) image box are terrible. There is no use for them in VR and it can't be seen on the screen because of lack of propper mirror. Terible downgrade in this regard compared to DR1.

I checked out the new spectator mode beta today & thats in VR! Its great althou a bit buggy but thats why its beta. The possibilities could be amazing :) Atm you only have bumper, bonnet and chase cam in spec mode but if they add more like sitting in stands etc (Rallyx only) that would be fun. Another idea could see you in Rally taking turns to do the stage whilst sitting in passenger seat cam, that would be great fun with friends :)

I agree. Things like this would really push DR2 ahead of anything else.

this happened to me today after leaving the game running for 45 minutes in the service area. I have made a new thread post about it.

I loved the VR replays in Dirt Rally purely because I after a killer run showing friends and family VR, I can sit them down, slap the headset on them, and put them in the Drivers View while the replay goes. They would love it, freak out, and they get a huge rush looking around while I'm flying and drifting through the forest at 100mph+ for example. I do this cause most everyone cant really drive so I let them experience what I went through. Ill put the ones willing into a race though and let them have a go.
