save profile screen = save failed

I have given permission as administrator
deleted all files and re downloaded game
I have checked my antivirus
checked integrity of game files
my pc is way more advanced than what is needed to play this game
and i still can't get this game to play past the add profile page
i've had this game a long time, i almost thought about asking for my money back

Any ideas what i can do so i can play this game?

it was my virus software. i had a setting that protected files. when i disabled it. all my games would save.
