Also, the audio was improved for PS4. This is my biggest pet peeve with the game. The very last cut scene sounds absolutely terrible due to the compression. If they could bring the improved audio over, even for that one cut scene, it would be absolutely amazing.
To be fair, the PC version is superior to the Switch version in resolution alone. The fine lines of the 4K resolution is stunning. That is, until the in-game camera pushes in and then some of the assets look a bit soft.
Also, FWIW, I too hope they will release an update for us. Not only did I purchase it on Steam at full price, but I also bought the signature edition ($250) Switch physical release from Special Reserve. Granted, I'll probably never open/use the Switch cartridge, but it shows how much I appreciated the game.
It would be nice to get some confirmation from the devs, at the very least.
Your profile is private. It's hard to tell if you have played on PC to have something for comparison.
Is your PS4 the 4K model, PS4 Pro? What kind of TV and speakers do you have? Are you traditionally able to notice this kind of difference? Some people don't know what to look for or have equipment that would make the difference noticeable.
I guess i am being stupid for saying that i actually have a simple ps4 with a simple HD tv 75" screen. Sound from a surround speaker system.
So yes, i guess my version would not show any difference.
My apologies.
