About an eventual Switch port (2018/9/13)
A lot of people were asking about a Switch port of this game. Well, looks like now, I can answer this question. Sorry for keep avoiding answers about that. I've already asked Nintendo for get access to Switch Development Kit in order to work in a Fight'N Rage port, and yesterday... after a long wait, they formally declined. I really have intentions to work on a Switch port, and in the eventual case that will be a possibility in the future, I will keep it in secret (just like all developers does, for obvious legal reasons), but at least for now, looks like the aswer it's for sure a "NO". Some people already offers me to port FnR to Switch in the past, but I have to be honest... nowadays, if I make something with my game, I prefer work on it by myself too (I don't even know if it was possible to achieve that without rewroting ALL the entire code from scratch... that's the reason why I needed the Development Kit in first place... to start to making serious te♥♥♥♥♥al tests), I really DON'T want to make bad quality ports. So, now it's official, (at least at this time 2018/9/13) looks like Fight'N Rage will not be ported to Nintendo Switch. I have the intentions to start the evaluation, but it's not depends on me right now. Sorry for the delayed response, I know that a lot of people want it, but... that's the way that it's.

I plan on getting a switch shortly and It would have been nice for FnR to be an option but, don't worry about it. I hope the game is doing well sales wise as I look forward to what you do next.

I'm one man company, so, the sales here at Steam, were good enough for me. I was pretty excited mainly to port it to a decent portable device with multiple controllers (obviously, the money is a good reason too, but it's not the only one).

Sorry to hear about that, it's a real shame such a gem won't be hitting the Switch. Any luck with other ports like PS4 and Xbox One?

That's a bummer. A port was probably your best shot at revitalizing interest in this game.

If you make a sequel or release DLC, you should totally blast it out as a news item under this title so everyone that owns it will see it. I know i'd pitch in some more $$$ for more FnR.

I was thinking about other consoles, but... only a very few people ask me about Ps4 or Xbox port... I don't know... but, for me, for some reasons, those platforms don't feel so "interesting", I think that's because I see Ps4 and Xbox more like a PC equivalent... I mean, I don't found nothing "unique" about new traditional consoles... maybe a PsVita could be interesting, but I 'm not sure (I didn't buy one yet). Maybe I'm wrong, but when I was thinking about ports, Switch was the most interesting platform for me, only for the architecture and features (always having 2 joycons by default, mobile and classic mode...), that may could be a good extra way to play FnR... but, anyway... it's not that bad... after all, the best way to play games like this, is having a decent PC where you choose wich type of joystick you want, how many, and you can make whatever you want while the game is running. So, at the end of the day... in certain ways, I don't have reasons to worry to much about it.

I'd be down for a Vita port, I'd love to have this game on the go.

Sucks that Nintendo declined you :(

That is a shame Nintendo declined the game, it is a great indie game. It'd fit well on their store. Hopefully they might eventually change their mind about it.

:/ Shame that Nintendo declined. I'll have to get a GPD Win to play this bad boy on the go.

Shame this won't make it to the PS4, but I can understand the dev's sentiments. Don't have a windows PC, but bought this game on sale and will try "borrow" my wife's laptop to play it.

Beat 'em ups seem to be coming back to popularity, with Streets of Rage 4 getting a lot of attention and Capcom releasing their Arcade bundle. That can only be a good thing for beat 'em up fans.

Do you know why nintendo declined the dev kit? Just wondering if their would be some way to prove community interest exists for the port that would make nintendo interested, because it seems quite a few people want it, me included. Apologies if thats not really how these things work, as someone with no real buisness or game developement/dealing with publishers experince. Just want to say, the game is one of the best brawlers out there atm, in an age where allot of bad ones exist.

;-; How sad. I would buy Fight N Rage on Switch in a heartbeat for sure, even if there was no extra content. The base game itself is wonderful, and that's all I need for gaming on the go. Ah well, here's to you getting the opportunity at a later date!

i would definitely buy it on the switch!

sorry to hear it. this game would be a great fit on Switch.

well.... if PS4 dev is more open, it might be a nice side-route (though long time) to the Switch. If PS4 and XBone is PC like, I imagine the porting might be less of a headache. That can get your presence more on the map for Nintendo to refer to.
