This game makes me happy.
It really does. It has a deep breeding system, complex (enough) genetics, and even some roguelike elements (such as permadeath). Will there be additional content for this game..? I would love to see even more types of beetles!

Very glad you're enjoying it and we're working to make the experience easier to understand and provide more challenging content. As I mentioned in a different thread, we want this to be a more strategic game simulation of breeding and planing rather than a "realistic" beetle simulator. We are hoping that it feels "realistic" enough to be familiar to people, not a scientific study of beetle society. Remember... fun first!

Glad to see you respond! Also, speaking of genetics, will there be/are there genes such as albinism, axanthism, anerythrism etc. in the game..?

We currently do not have any of those types of pigmentation negating genes in the beetles. It would be relatively easy to add them in as recessives. After you've played a bit with the existing visual genetics for the beetles, let us know if you think it would be worth mixing in!

Also, note that we don't quite have all the visual content in for our beetles. You should see even more variation in detail markings coming in the next few weeks.

I've already "played through" the map as it is now, and bred as many beetles as i could, and i do think that genes that cause albinism, leucism and melanism, to name a few, would add a whole new dimension to the visuals of the beetles. However, i do admit this can't be a top priority, so i'll wait patiently for the day these genes are added! :steamhappy:
