Dungeon Defenders

What do I do after the main story is beaten?
I want to know what to do next that is appropriate for my level at this point in the game.

challenges, shard maps, and lastly play on open for more maps
Try doing some of the challenges - then do the campaign again on medium - start up another character or two - level them up with your main character. Try more challenges and then do the campaign on hard - etc etc etc. Dont believe the level it says for the earlier challenges - they are way too low for the challenge to be beaten. So if you dont get through them don't worry. try different set ups and different characters. Most of these will be more fun with a group of people.

I did the campaign on medium difficulty. I played with a mate of mine and we are both lost with what to do. What I am asking is if there is any DLC campaigns that we can tackle before we ramp up the difficulty and/or if level 40 ish is a good place to take on the campaign again.
try misty on easy or med - then one of the others on easy. also some of the challenges just to get the weapons that they drop like raining goblins, ogre crush - just try different ones to see if you can get them done. You will know whether level 40 is enough to get through by trying the different things. There is no specific order to what you do except the campaign is in an order from deeper well up to lost shards and bonus maps.
I just tried Magus on Hard with a level 47 apprentice - matched leather armour (non upgraded - no point until Mythical and higher) a low level hawk from the tavernkeeper and a crappy wand. It was a walk in the park so you should be able to do the campaign on hard - you might have to have a DPS character for the summit dragon,
Now I just tried Magus on insane - no problem until ogre at end - i only upgraded towers to one chevron - two or three upgrades on center towers might have beaten him. So try some maps on insane as well for the experience they give. My defense stats for apprentice were 87, 74, 88, 33.
I picked magus because it is easier to do then Deeper Well. (not enough DU points if you have low level characters) Also dont forget you can also use a summoner to almost double your available damage.
Disregard that last statement - just sailed through insane deeper well - no upgrading and no shooting (I guess that is for Nightmare survival the DU's are tight.)

I pretty much only play with me mates. Thanks for the heads up!
If you have a summoner, I found the Real Time Strategist achievment to be interesting too.
Keep playing until you reach lvl 74, then start doing nightmare for gear upgrades.
try to get as high as possible in a survival map until u get bored or do what i did start completely over new all levels gone all gear gone everything and complete the story again.
