New to the Arma franchise, picked this up when it was free not long ago and was wondering if there are any mods that are worth downloading? Can be anything

For more great stuff check:

ofpec.com - very good missions and campaigns
mapfact-archiv.net - even better missions and campaigns (German page language)

ECP Redux.
It will overhaul all graphics so the game actually gets close to ARMA 2.
It also adds over 100 new missions.
The only issue I had was with the new version of the ECP redux and the widescreen support. They got that part wrong and I wish they had left it out entirely, also some textures got badly ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up with the new ECP redux. (the faces on the soldiers when you are selecting your face are totally messed up.

WW4 mod. Includes:
Animations improvements + new movements. (you now can lean, roll on the ground and "lie" on your elbows.)
AI improvements (further engange range for enemies, overall more intelligent behaviour)
New textures (Improved unit textures)
etc.
All this is compatible with the main-game and missions.
I recommend reading the readme.
