Gothic Workshop (BETA)

Hello,

Today I'd like to annouce a beta version of Steam Workshop for Gothic. Supported is Gothic 1 and Gothic 2.

Changelog v1.0.1:
- Fixed an issue where launcher would not render widgets on graphics cards with DirectX 11 feature level 10.0
- Improved performance and power usage of application
- Fixed an issue where launcher would not restore Gothic files properly on startup
- Fixed order of .mod files specified in FILES.VDF key in .ini file
- Disabled Steam Overlay for launcher
- Removed showing description of currently selected mod

We updated the build to include our workshop/mod launcher. This is right now this is in a branch. You can access it like this: https://media.thqnordic.com/TEMP/SteamBetaBranchGuide.jpg
Under Step 6 select the workshop branch (you need to be in properties of Gothic 1 or 2). The branch doesnt require a password.

We appreciate the modding community of Gothic a lot and we hope to make it more accessible for more players with this.

Will the games get Steam Cloud support on top of this? It would be nice to keep my progress through the games.

This is just insane. Such an impactful change for a two decades old game. I gotta say, with this addition Gothic is poised to become a massive, widely recognized franchise. I've been hoping for that for years. A+ job!
