are you guys hyped for the sequel coming this november?
unfortuantly i am shocked that my pc setup cant even handle the minimum pc requirements, according to Frontiers info at steam...

JWE was a Day 1 purchase for me. I was so excited.

IDK what happened, but I didn't like it one bit, so I shelved it with only a small handful of hours and forgot about it. The summer sale came along and I saw JWE2 was announced and the DLC for this was cheap, so my OCD kicked in and I bought it and figured I'd try it again.

Maybe there were some QoL updates after I put it down, or maybe it's like Witcher 1 and I just had to give it another go, but I love it. I'm so excited for the next one and I hope I finish everything in JWE before 2 comes out.

You'd be surprised what your PC can handle. My computer and it's components are 12+ years old. I've only recently updated my computer from Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 10 just in the last couple weeks. But for the last 12 years I was running that Windows and I still was able to play many games up to these days, that said minimum requirement would be Windows 10 and so on. So many ppl said you cannot play these games without Windows 10, but I was still able to with no problems whatsoever. The only real factor here is which DirectX version the game truly requires. If it's DirectX 12, and don't have Windows 10+, then you're screwed and would have to upgrade. But even if my 12+ year old computer can run these things, then yours should too... unless your computer is way older than mine... then maybe you'll have problems, lol.

Does anyone know if there will be mod support for this game? If there isn't I'm not buying it after how crap their maps were in the first one.

I'm sure there will be. Maybe not right at the beginning, because I mean... how could it at release right? But I bet there will be over time.

Yeah the DirectX 12 is what is going to get you. That is only available in Windows 10+.

Without it, you won't be able to play at all.

Which makes since as W7 is no longer supported by MS so naturally game devs will do the same as the months rolls on.

fx 8350, 1060gtx(3gb), 32gb ddr3, and i am not sure about the cpu...
edit: i am not sure whats the difference between a fx-8350 and the fx-8370 they wanted for minimum

Id imagine the FX really struggling in the next game. I had the FX8350 myself for many years, even when i started playing this game (and the exact same 1060 3gb haha). It always did struggle with this title and I knew it was the cpu thanks to afterburner.

Did a modest upgrade and bought a CPU, ram and Mobo combo off amazon. Went for the Ryzen 5 2600x and holy crap, the difference was insane. Now my GPU was the bottleneck, but still capable of high 50-60fps in 1440p.

Long story short, if you can a cpu+mobo+ram combo would unlock a lot more of your GPU's power. Also sets you up for a GPU upgrade later down the line :)

I'm going to pre-order the game because it has low regional price (50% less than their Zoo game at release) and there is a good chance that it'll be increased after release,

Honestly, Im just gonna wait it out, hyped is hyped but the first one was just kinda disappointing to me... I hope the 2nd is better, and their terrain tools more detailed. Will wait and see

Absolutely not a day one purchase...it feels more like JWE 1.5 and some of the new "improvements" look like nothing but endless micro management.
