Ubisoft is deleting The Crew from players library
I just read on Twitter that Ubisoft is pulling licenses from paying customers now that the servers have shut down.

I don’t think people realize how important this moment is. If we don’t stand against it, this might become a common practice on the industry. Imagine paying for a game and having your key revoked in a couple of years?

literally removing from your steam library?

i don't believe it at all and you'd have to provide proof OP.

It took one google search to show you were mis-informed

Ubisoft have now taken the extra step of revoking The Crew licenses from purchasers and removing it from their library.

Players have reported that The Crew has moved in their Ubisoft Connect libraries to a new 'Inactive Games' section, from which it can no longer be downloaded and installed. Clicking on the entry instead presents a message that reads, "You no longer have access to this game. Why not check the Store to pursue your adventures?"

But if you ever ever find out that Ubi removed a valid purchased product from someone's Steam Library. Please do point that out and it'll no doubt make front page news.

He's referring to Ubisoft Library, there're several articles that talk about it.
Cannot confirm myself about STEAM library as I don't own the game but Assassin Creed II and Splinter Cell Conviction-Blacklist DLCs content with online connectivity have been removed from STEAM.

Now that I've pointed out to you go and make a front page news and post the link.

A matter of time before they delist division 1, 2, Siege, Crew 2, Motorfest, and their failure of skull and bones. And all DLC's from their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ connect service.
That is why they love live service games, so they can kill the game off in 5 seconds and run away with one's money.

It already has made front page mate if you google it.

Ubi did that before years ago. It's nothing new. In fact every single distributor on every platform, except GoG, Steam, Epic, and Microsoft have done it that I'm aware of. If it ever happened to those 4, it'd be big. And since Steam is the biggest of those 4, it'd spread like wildfire. I don't believe a publisher has the right to remove it from a gamer's steam library ever.

classify my words however you deem necessary in order to absorb them

there's not much anybody that owns this game can do. one thing that is possible is telling the story. the media lives on these types of stories today. that can wind up helping one other person as they think twice about buying a game from these companies

Yeah it's bad enough that some games are unplayable, actually revoking the license like Ubisoft is doing on Ubisoft Connect is completely nuts.

Oh and just saying, anyone remember Sony and Studio Canal content?
They just revoked these paid licenses for movies/tv shows too

Here another case where it was about to happen, but was "cancelled":
https://www.playstation.com/en-us/legal/psvideocontent/

But the other one happened:
https://www.playstation.com/de-de/legal/psvideocontent/

And nothing ever happened ;)
Well except that I didn't buy any more digital movie/show afterwards.

You guys need to stand against it or they will always be doing this. You paid for it. They are basically stealing your product.

Just put Ubi on ignore. I have since 2015 after they took my money for some other game.

It's ironic that you could buy the same game on Steam or Ubisoft's store and the game is removed from Ubisoft's store but not Steam. I really don't feel Ubisoft belongs on Steam. They did take all of their games away recently only to return later to make even more people upset. I don't understand why they feel doing the opposite of what your customers want is ok to them. It's not going to work out for them in the end and they may eventually become the most hated company.

Yep,they removed my license of The Crew 1 from my ubi account. 60 Euro wasted for a game that i cant play anymore. Even insulting you. "This product is gone, why not go to the shop to further your adventures?" Yeah...gonna ignore Ubi and never spend anything anymore.
Justice for The Crew 1.

I thought I was so smart. Just ignore Ubisoft in the steam store

jokes on me cause they don't have a profile. it must've been deleted when they left steam and they never re-created one.

anyway.
