Patch 1.3 (open beta) - Feedback thread

Dear pathfinders,
We are happy to inform that the Beta of Version 1.3 is available for everyone - this time on GoG as well as Steam!
Just to remind you:
all you need to do to participate is switch to the "betatest" branch and enter the code "Ms0SJWRhSRuo". Find detailed info and instructions over here: https://owlcatgames.com/content/beta-test. Those players who took part in the Beta test for earlier versions will just have to switch to the "betatest" branch and update the version.
you will be able to send us your thoughts together with all the required information (a screenshot and a save file are collected automatically) by pressing F11 and clicking on the "Report bug" button attached to right edge of the screen. You could also really help us out by turning on logs (here's a how-to: https://owlcatgames.com/content/bug-report-technical ). Doing so enables the "Report bug" button to also send us your logs, but makes the game a bit slower, so you might want to turn logging off after taking part in the beta.

So my saves did not transfer to 1.3

Not only that, but I now can't get out of the beta.
So... that's a bit of an issue.

You lose your saves AND can't go back. I guess I can try to uninstall and reinstall.

Edit: Restarting Steam lets you opt out if anyone else runs into this problem.

Your saves are in another folder you can transfer over.

Using 1.3, even though I'm in chapter 1 and not yet even been to Temple of the Elk or the Old Sycamore, Troll Trouble' has appeared in the journal and the 'The Nature of the Beast' is in it and marked as failed.

I see the patch notes say that this quest was fixed to auto-fail if you reach 'check up on the old wizard' but it sounds like the fix might be broken - it's failed long before I've even reached Troll Trouble.

I think beta works for linux because I'm downloading it now (2.4gb) after entering the code.

I hope I don't regret this, we all expect some bugs, just nothing insanely game breaking :)

I do wonder if my unitymodmanger mods will work, (yes it works for linux users, bit tricky to setup sometimes).

Hey developer, maybe speed up the main menu animation, I actually use a mod for that atm and seems really silly that is needed, lmao.

Beta 1.3 shows up as version 1.2n for me under Linux, and no save games can be loaded. I do believe the developer has trolled us linux users... sigh

Owlcat can you add in the charm spells in a patch or in a dlc i still don't understand why you lot keep them out it kinda becomes pointless to be a enchanter
