Game Freezes Computer

The game seems to freeze the computer a require a reboot. No common trigger, it just happens after a couple of minutes.

verify the game files also check your swapfile isn't corrupt.

You should also check on your temps, the computer freezing can be a safe lock to avoid overheat damage.
In general, a complete freeze can not occur on the game level, but has to occur on the OS/hardware level. So checking drivers, temps, swapfile and looking at event logs should be your first step.

Do you play Ironman ? If not check your saves - each folder can have hundreds/thousands of saves. Try to keep saves to 100 or less too many can definitely cause problems.
There was one guy in PDX bug reports a few years ago complaining his game crashed everytime he tried to load it - Turns out he had 9,999 saves and had no idea.
