I cant run the game, all I get is a beautiful blackscreen :(

Is there anyone else with the same problem?, I just bought the game but when I try to run the game, I get a blackscreen, I cant even see a single picture or listen to a single sound, I just get a blackscreen ... I was really looking forward for this game :(

Do you meet the minimum requirements such as Windows 64 bit operating system? If so and after running file integrity check, go here: https://support.505games.com/en/support/home and create a ticket and please attach your dxdiag.txt.

Yes, I do meet the minimum requirements, I cant attach any dxdiag.txt file because I have already deleted the game and got a refund for it, sorry about that, I will try to buy the game in the future again and see if I can run the game next time :(

Hey, I solved this problem by myself. Windows Media Feature Pack was missing from my system. Installed that and the game runs perfectly. You can check the missing components in output log file in game folder.

it will be something with video codecs. i find this in discussion for other game:

For those who have win 7, have black screen after pressing play on steam, no sound and stuff and output.log mentions "WindowsVideoMedia error 0x800700ea" then do this, maybe it gonna help you:
"I have K-Lite Codec pack that i use to watch movies and other various video files. Thing is that it looks like K-Lite knows about Windows codecs in Win 7. Following steps in completly other issue somewhere on the net i made it to game launch all logos and videos. I was 100% right, it was codecs.

To fix your K-Lite codec pack go to:
Open Start>>All Programs>>K-Lite Codec Pack>>Tools
Look at Win7DSFilterTweaker
Then enter Prefered Decoders, Tweaks and Media Foundation and Reset everything.
After that restart your PC.
Then try launching the game. It is still in First launch mode so give it 1-2 minutes
If your HDD is blinking constain after that time, give it more time, that still means something is loading. After that you should see playway logo video as first.
If you HDD stop blinking and you have same result as other tries, then check your codecs packs if they didn't disabled somekind of Windows codecs.

After that i just changed to Low graphic setting and game run smooth. I think Now we need to fight for config file to perfectly setup our graphics settings to our machines."

EDIT: If you don't have K-Lite and have other codec pack, check if they got somekind reset functions for win7. If you don't have any codec pack on pc then you can try install K-Lite codec pack

This is the exact same problem I had with RE7 crashing at startup.

It was due to having Media Codecs Pack installed (I think the same applies to KLite). If you uninstall this, the game should work.

Hum, i understand why it doesn't work on my Win 7 Pro N. It is not said in the requirement we need Windows Media Pack!

i tried to install K-Lite codec pack because i don't have any codec pack already installed.
Version is 13.7.5 Basic and i followed all you steps but i still have black screen on startup.

Hi, try it again. ;) for me it work. Try search on google, few of games have same problem, maybe there can find solution, if it will not go, write to support and open ticket.
