Until we get workshop, here are a few challeneges you can do now...

it would be nice if we could make our own...but in the meantime, if you're bored, or waiting for an online match, here are a few challenges i came up with for single player.
they can be hard at first, but can be done...

-on Aztec campaign level 10 (last level) beat the second fortress (the aztecs) before the first (the vikings).
if you do it right, the game doesnt know what to do and your soldiers freeze where the fortress went down alternating direction really fast so it looks like they're facing both directions at once.

- this one is a little harder. On the Chinese level 10 beat it without ever using pooh-ki the dragon. when he appears twice in the begining dont breathe any fire, and then when it tells you to use him on the workers at the end of the level, dont use him at all.
the computer level shoots up to 'impossible' but it's possible to beat.

fine. heres another one... on chinese level 9, dont use ANY aztec characters or spells... except aztec golddiggers. (You have to use them.)
but that means no aztec spells in the beginning, only rocket launchers and swordsmen, and NO hyponizing the sun giants at the end.
it can be done.

I completed challenges 1 and 3. I couldn't beat 2 though. I could defeat the waves of skeletons, but afterwards there was an enduring stalemate. I could gradually gain resources without losing ground but even with 9000 mana I couldn't make it past them. Have you completed challenge 2? Anyways, good find with the challenges.

yeah, i felt defeating the skeletons is the hard part (i spam swordsmen and use terra cotta warriors as far ahead as i can get them.. then use them to take out the 2 necromancers.)

then i just juggle a while, (dont pass the point after the 2 close bases, or it will start the computers attack.) get it up to about 4000-5000 gold and 2000-3000 mana, and just start sending all the foces you have. even when the computer sets itself to 'impossible' a huge army and good spell casting can beat it.

it ends up telling you 'great job, pooh-ki, only a few workers left' even though you didnt use pooh-ki

Okay, it's been a while and i came up with a new challenge. It's pretty easy, most of you will get it on your first or second try... but dammit, im trying to keep S&S 1 fun!
okay, challenge #4. Beat aztec level 7 'Return the Favor' without ever getting the hypno-spell. not 'using' the hypno spell, but 'getting' the hypno spell.

Okay, scraping the bottom of the barrel here, but i came up with another (easy) one. challenge #5: beat Chinese level 7 (desert combat) with the first group of rocket launchers it gives you AND without using the ying yang.

oh I succeded in my frist try but it was a little tricky at the end because I lost all my rocketeers ;) I was able to finish it with only monkey and soldiers tough
theses challenges are so fun even the easy ones :) thank you tub_ring
