Steam controller not working anymore with this game.

I don't know what happened with the latest update but I had everything working last week but now it doesn't matter if I use big picture mode or not,the controller won't work at all in game and I can't bring up steam options with the steam controller button in this game.

go to options, check if controller is "ON"

if "OFF" turn it "ON"
if "ON" move on to controlls and see if they controls are gone if they are follow this hotifx

( this will be just the text to get it working you will need to go ingame after to reset to get the correct buttons )

( x86 systems have it under C:\Program Files\ if you havnt installed it somwhere else)
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SoulWorker\UserData

locate and open User_????_Option_??.ini, ( ? will be numbers and server )

check if you got anything related to [GamePad Key Option] in there CTRL + F to search
if not copy everything below and paste it at the bottom, and enter the game and reset

I did all of that and still having the same issue. I can't bring up the overlay either with the steam controller. The controller works fine in every other game except this one for some reason now.

hmm thats werid, you got any other controller you can test with? like a xbox (one) one or ps3/4 one? if it works like normal with other controllers maby they did something in the last update that destroyed the steam controller

Having the same issue, and I use an Xbox USB controller. The Start button works to let me control the cursor for selecting menus, but otherwise it won't let me move the character anymore or attack or any other button press unless I'm in cursor mode. And in cursor mode, only the select button (RB) and move cursor works besides the start button to go into cursor mode.

The hotfix worked. Looks like what happened was during an update the file got changed to an EN extension. There were two of the same. One ending in EN that didn't ahve the Gamepad text. Copied it over from the non-EN one since they matched everything else, and it fixed it.

First login check hotkeys, if the Right side is blank, check what i told to Izunami ( yes you can use that aswell ) then when you are inside the game just hit that reset button, that will bring the xbox controlls back if you wanna change something it should stay aswell :)

ye i know dont even know why they did that, not like im gonna have diffrent controls for diffrent servers xD

edit, its werid that i known about this since it happen and how to fix it yet they hanvt updated the game to do it -.-
