Screen flashing when trying to play this game
Got this with Humble Bundle X. Was interested in trying it out, but when loading the game, the screen just flashes between a black screen and the actual game. Tried setting the game to my monitor's native resolution, but that made it worse. Now everything's blown up and the button's "click areas" don't match where they are on the screen. If the information is relevant, I'm running Windows 8.1 x64 with an AMD FX 4-core processor and a GTX 670 CPU. Anyone else have this issue/know of a fix?

I'm getting this as well on a 2xcore Intel based system with Nvidia 5 GPU. Seems to mainly be fullscreed as it doesn't flicker in windowed mode.

I had the same problem on Windows 8.1 with a GTX 670 video card. I solved it by switching to windowed mode, which took care of the flickering, and setting the resolution to 1366x768. Although my display is 1920x1080, the scaling on this game seems to be messed up and that's the largest size that actually fits on my screen. It's not ideal, but it is playable.

Update: I think I just found the cause of this issue. Open up the Control Panel and under the Appearance and Personalization category click "Make text and other items larger or smaller". Under "Change the size of all items" check the position of the slider. On my system it was set in the middle for some reason. Slide it all the way to the left, and then you should be able to run the game in fullscreen and at native resolution, with no flicker or scaling issues.

Thanks for the help here, but that's just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Why would it use the "change size" setting and mess itself up beyond belief?

Because it's badly coded and the devs probably never tested it with that feature enabled. I've seen the same sort of issue before with both zSNES and Visual Boy Advance, which is what made me think to check it here.
