No, the game will be mostly sandbox during Early Access. Story mode will be added as a single large update before the game is out of EA.
Old saves will become incompatible after every major update.
If so I'll wait until its out before buying in mid april :D
i kinda got a bit bored with that club so i accidentally bought yet another early access game. now i can wait for 2 things at once. im really efficient like that. twiddle twiddle
I wish they included a save at will or at least a save upon exit feature, along with the multiple save files they are already implementing.
Do you still want it?
You can already do this by running the game on a virtual machine.

April 13th.
The "two more steps" are literally talking to Verren and then talking to the Mayor in Mannheim.
That's where the story ends currently.
The mayor in Mannheim has 3 more contracts that will cycle every few days, but they aren't actually related to the story. "Gathering the Caravan" ends the moment you talk to the mayor.
I agree, though, the "fun" of the game is basically just messing around w/ the different possible builds and trying out the gear for now.
But don't you run out of content? The dev above said there is enough content for 9 levels right now. Speaking of which...do monsters respawn after some time? Say after you rest, or revist a dungeon?
In the demo they didn't
So that means you can keep leveling up indefinately?
