Bug - Cube falls through the funnel

So I decided to play the game again today, got up to the test chambers with excursion funnels and frankencubes and am now stuck.
The cubes don't stay in the funnels properly, if they fall into the funnel they begin to slow but quickly fall out the other side. They also refuse to stay on buttons when held by a funnel.

Has anyone figured out a workaround? I cannot finish my play through as I can't get past the testchamber just after the one in the video.

I'm certain this doesn't have anything to do with my system specs but what I will say is that I have the version of portal 2 with sixsence motionpack enabled.

Also as with other reports I've seen, if I verify my game cache theres one 15mb file it tries to retreive but as this same sized file get retreived every time I verify it I'm assuming it either fails or doesn't recognise that it has the file.

Same thing happened to me, but I found a way. Right when the cube slows in the funnel, re-shoot the portal once and it will stay like normal. Also, when a frankencube is on a button for a while, it won't walk when you take it off. It'll hit the wall/ceiling button normally during this state.

cool the 'reshoot the portal' thing worked, didnt know you could do it on the following chamber as well, and if you run at the door right before the button is pressed you can pass through it during the breif second its open.
Valve really should fix this tho, i know new players would be totally put off by something like this.

Na, I'm sure it's a bug but that's a temporary fix for it for now

How the hell did this bug start happening? I have already beat this game and had no issues. Now every time I try to put a frankencube in a funnel it falls out almost immediately.

Doing your workaround only works sometimes. There are certain times in tests where i cannot get away with that.

WTF is making it ♥♥♥♥ up? I am using a razor Hydra this time through. Could that be screwing up the game???

The game might get bugs cause it's getting older. But doesn't Valve check for bugs in their games and update them?

I have really lost respect for valve on this 1. This game used to work jsut fine, and now it is broken so badly that it can't even be completed.

I have the same problem and I have the Hydra too... Maybe it's a bug in the Six Sense Motion Pack... Wonder if there's an update for it?

If there is it should be updated automatically. That is what steam does.
