Should I buy this game, even though I finished the singleplayer part already?
Hello,
I played the singleplayer part of this game quite a while ago by a friend.
But now I'm also thinking about buying it for the multiplayer and custom maps.

Is this game worth 20 bucks, for someone who has finished the singleplayer already?
Yeah I know that I missed the sale a few days ago, but still...

Did you enjoy your experience in single player?

Do you want more?

Are you willing to pay the asking price to get more?

There's your decision.

I barely know anything about the multiplayer or how good it is, that's why I'm asking here :)

Watch a couple of videos on YouTube, I'm sure there are some people who have uploaded some 2-player gameplay.
(Only a couple, for a general feel. You don't want to see all of them and know how to solve each puzzle before you've had a crack at it yourself. That's just silly!)

Multiplayer is a whole lot of fun to play with a friend, especially if he has also never played it before. And if everyone you know has already finished both the coop campaign and the free DLC, there are still tons of community-made maps that are just as brilliant. So, yeah, it's good =)

Still, I'd look in the trading forums before buying it for 20 dollars. Since it's always on sale and so many people already have it anyway, you might be able to get a better deal there.

ya cause the demo is amazing and that is only for the original portal

I don't see why not. If you don't have online friends, you can take your chances with the random selection feature, play offline with a friend at home, or play with community made maps.

Get it its the best VALVe game ever

Well, if you've already beaten singleplayer then I guess it depends.

How much did you like singleplayer?

Do you have a friend for Coop? (If you don't, I'll be willing to play with you as long as you don't curse me out for me stupidity)

Are you going to use the community made test chambers all that much? I can say they can be pretty fun, especially when they use authoring tools.

Maybe not for $20. But if you have the patience, during the next sale portal 2 will more than likely be on sale for 50% off or more. I got my portal 2 bundled with portal 1 for five or six bucks. Also, the user created maps can be quite good. some...notsomuch, but the good ones make it worthwhile.

I suggest you wait for next sale. 50% off the price or more would be a great deal. It is a great game. Coop mode better be played with a friend, not random online partner.
