gamepad stops functioning, and have to use keyb/mouse to navigate from there.
being like this every since, put in a forum post about it. no one replied. tested on 2 alts pcs. same problem. xinput or direct doesnt matter same problem. fyi you leave it on Xinput for most.
n the console it mentions nothing about it failed controller support, i dont get this problem or any of problem in any other game but this little bit in portal 2.
highly wierd, it has to be something they did in an update. as far as i can tell thats where the problem goes.
even have direct comms with a valve employee tests gamepad functions on games regularly and told her about it, and still i get no response.
will send an email to valve
because have been waiting for 6months+ for it to be fixed. i decided to stop playing anyway, as the controller joysticks are not up to handling quick feedback pointing, in a high paced game such as portal 2, n rather just let the content build for longer for when the steam controller comes out, in australia.
as its likely to be all well n good with that hardware. n if it isnt, it will at least raise the profile of the problem then.
