How do you know it will be a direct sequel ?
Multiverse ?
Did you play Portal 2 ?

portal movie? yeah, right! do you have a LINK to a VIDEO where GABE says ANYTHING about a portal movie being ABSOLUTELY CONFIRMED ? no you don't. and "discussed" doesn't mean anything.
I don't want a portal 3 game too. I thought about a plot with the bots, where the single-player is with one of them, so it won't ruin the perfect ending of portal 2 - but that just won't fit. and I have no idea how VALVe can make the story better.

the two games I want from VALVe now are HL3 (or ep3, but I doubt it) and F - Stop

It's also because of other reasons. Look, if these people require Portal 3 to get them to stop saying "WE WANT PORTAL 3 NOW", they might as well look at "Conversion" on Greenlight and help it get on steam.
