Thank you so much for supporting these devs and this underappreciated hidden gem. I really hope this release will open the doors for the sequel that never came :)
You were to early, somehow someone messed up with the promotion timing.. I think you can do a refund and then rebuy it in a few hours when it releases at -45%.
I am eagerly waiting till 6 GMT+1 myself :)
Yea, it seems you can't change the view point like you could in the original. They probably removed it for several good reasons I assume. (performance, gameplay balance, severe bug etc.)
It still amazes me to think about some of the things this game did back in the 90s like alternate views, climbing up on buildings, user controlled camera, etc, where new games with bigger budgets don't even attempt it now days. It's like a modern form of lost anchient technology or something.
I remember watching a Star Citizen demo last year when the guy couldn't jump up on the ship's loading ramp because the ship was unlevel and the ramp was waist high. I was thinking, they really need to implement basic human actions such as climbing up on a higher surface, like Outcast did 15 years prior.
+1 :-)
*probably not due to technical reasons, but I felt like being cheeky*
But there are some bugs to hunt, I guess. The game started with a plot stopper for me. Zokrym, the joker, went for a walk in the pond (really - he can't swim). He couldn't get out, though, so the Daoka remained off and I had to load an older save. No other bugs so far (went through Shamazaar and also some minutes in Okriana).
Please keep improving the game and everything will be fine. Thumbs up!
And, please, we are PC gamers. There should be graphical options instead of presets. I'll dig through the config later. If there's some time left: A sharpening filter could come in handy. Reshade can do the job until then.
Greetings from Germany,

Seriously, though. I built my machine about 4 years ago and the only thing I've upgraded since then has been RAM and video card (currently a 960GTX - not even rated for VR). Old mid-range i5 still works well after all this time.
You could always play 1.1 - it is a better experience in some ways (a fully animated intro, for one thing). I definitely prefer the original intro movie/cutscene.
