Game not in german steam store since yesterday!!
Very sad! Was thinking about getting it during this current sale... Can you tell me why? Guess it is because of our frigging youth protection laws. Steam has no veryfication of age required and this is kind of a porn game... I guess some A$$-hole in germany did not like this game and reported you guys... and it seems that nowadays this is enough to get a game banned from the steam store... Is there maybe still a way that you guys could protest against the ban from the german steam store??!!! I‘m guessing that with the purchaserestrictedcountries tag even a retail key won‘t work and cannot be activated in germany now... what a pity and shame!!!:DukeExplosion:

Hm, that could be it. We have not been made aware of the application's removal from any storefronts. I will check with our owner and see what might be going on. Thanks for the heads up!

One more thing: check our website for more info on how to buy. If it comes to that, of course.

Also, make sure nothing changed in regards to your profile content filters, opt-outs, settings, etc. that might hide 18+ content.

Thank you for your very quick response! That's great and other developers could really learn from you;-) I did not change any content filter or anything else in my steam settings... in fact I doublechecked;-) A short visit on the webpage "steamdb.info" proved me right: since yesterday there is a "purchaserestrictedcountries" entry for germany regarding House Party:-(
Since there is made no difference on that page between steam keys (retail) and direct purchases on the steam store, I am afraid all the available keys can't be activated in germany now...
I have had this kind of matter with the game "Postal Redux" before in Germany! Gladly in that case one of the developers provided me with a key for "Beta Testing" which DID still work in germany because it had not a "purchaserestrictedcountries" entry for germany;-)
Hhhmmm... hope you guys can do something about that kind of "censorship"! I do not think that it is okay that you haven't even been made aware of that removal!!! Losing an entire country as customers should at least been told to the developers/publishers...!!!

I bought the game back in December. Am I still allowed to play it or could that get me banned from my steam account? Just wondering because the game is now restricted in germany.
Thx DR., without your info I would not have realized the bs we have to put up with now.. thanks to our dear country... Which brings me to a question: Erasmus, will the ones who possess the game already, be able to receive future updates? Or are we cut off from any future content from now on?
Once you have bought a game, noone can remove it from your library and you won't get any punishments or such from steam... You will also receive all future updates! Only new customers like me are quite f*cked from our dear country, cause they can't buy this game any longer on the steam store or activate a key they have bought elsewhere...:satan:
Sorry that I answered this question, but I can tell you, knowing this from own experiences:whowantssome: On the contrary I wouldn't recommend uploading screenshots to the steam community hub that are publicly visible and toooo explicit... I think the only real problem that germany has with steam is that there is no age veryfication... For most of the games that are banned from the german store are not forbidden in our country, but only "indiziert" (indexed) and are therby to be made sure only to be accessed and sold to people 18+... Also advertisement is forbidden for indexed titles. But if there were a 18+ section with age veryfication login, everything would be fine... but for some reason steam won't create such a section on the store for german users... maybe they don't need those customers... I believe Germany is quite an important market when it comes to selling videogames...

Naaa^^ Wasnt planning on it brah :D But thx for the warning (and for the calming answers..really needed that and it saves my day^^). I hope you'll find (or already know) someone from another country, who can send you a working key of the game!
Thank you Dr. for the warning and the info. I already dislkiked my country, well actually the government for all those low violence versions of video games and now this.

Yeah, it can be really annoying havin to put up with all that Sh!t concerning our government, especially if you are into gaming and like Ego-Shooters, like me... But that even sexually explicit games get banned now, is totally new for me... Guess we have to thank some worried parents that pushed some stones and got them rolling...
I guess time will tell if they bann more games like this now. I hope not. Games in general, regardless of the genre. are a good way to escape from real life which can be quite annoying. I like to escape into a good shooter, rpg, a visual novel or this kind of game from time to time to have some fun.
You know... a GOOD argument about games in general, when it comes to the question of "are video games art" is this: Yes, because there is HARD WORK behind it! We should probably confront them with something like: Dear Ministers (or whoever is the "genius" who banned all those games here..), why dont you try and create some games yourselves, hm? Then and only THEN you get to talk down on developers and gamers, who know way more about this stuff then you do! Sorry guys...really needed to get this out of my system just now...this f***ing ignorance...ugh..
Yeah Man! You speak from my heart!!
So let me get this straight.. They made House Party unavailable for sale in our country.. but not an even more direct s e x game like Love Vibe Aria?! Like..wtf?! ;D This is so dumb... (oh the irony^^). Also, you're welcome, DR :) I hope it made your day (or should I say night^^) a little bit better :)
If it is of any interest for you guys: When they banned House Party they banned "Super Naughty Maid 2" at the same time (yesterday)... Like I said, my guess is that some parents got alarmed and got this ban wave started...
