Sound is quiet
Even though I have everything on max(both ingame and on SteamVR) sound ingame is very quiet. Anyone else has the same problem? I COULD uncheck gain limitation in SteamVR but then I would have problems in all the rest VR titles, not to mention hissing.

Noted this too in Rift headphones. I am hearing imparied so pressing on ear pad. Actually ordered a set of ladies earmuffs today just to add a slight bit of pressure to the ear pad so that they sit firm on my ear. (i have a small head)

Yup, had to turn the voice volume all the way up and still quiet. Vive + deluxe audio strap.

Uhhh glad I'm not the only one, maybe something can be done in ini file or something?

Agreed, maxed out and it's fine... but not as loud as I'd like.

When I played yesterday and I could barely hear it, it turned out the sound was just set low on Steam VR. Today the sound is still all the way up, but it's low again and I'm all out of things to turn up to fix it.

No issues with sound here on Vive, had to turn Master Volume down slightly actually.

Thats just headphones plugged into Vive socket. Normally use HD audio into AV Amp on the HDMI out for surround speakers but I use headphones with Vive.

I use headphones and HDMI audio on Vive(USB audio is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up) and the sound in Skyrim VR is WAAAAAY to quiet.

Sound is loud here. ~80% master volume ~30% mirror volume.

Have the same problem here. It was working fine at first, and then noticed it after I was in the pause menu. I just barely got this too, really pissing me off that I can barely hear anything.

Hopefully theres a patch or somebody knows a fix

Try the True 3D Sound mod - as well as massively improving the directionality, it boosted the volume quite a bit for me.

I found I was still dying due to the lack of clear low-health audio cues, so did a mod that makes the heartbeat sounds much louder and kick in sooner:

Yeah I can confirm that True 3d Sound mod helps A LOT. Game is just broken without it honestly. Also music is broken as well with very low bitrate so I reccomend improved music mod or whatever it is called which restores audio quality to the one from old Skyrim.

I was having low sound too...Turned out to be a sound slider bar on SteamVR home page. Not in Settings but actually at the bottom right of SteamVR home! This was set to 25%. cranked it to max and had to then turn the sound down ingame as it was waaaay too much.
