Quake Champions

987 average players in the last 30 days
https://steamcharts.com/app/611500

The 987 player average vs the peak in June (5,330.6) translates to a 81.5% player drop in only 7 months.

When will it bottom out and finally stabilize? Or dare I say it and even go up at some point?

When casuals are forced to only play arena shooters again like in the 90s.

The game needs a fair amount of optimisation and they should probably try lowering the system requirements
A lot of people playing f2p games do so because they don't have money
Both overwatch and Paladins have lower system requirements than Quake, I really like the game but I honestly can't see it taking off.
An irs 25% grow over April. But I agree with you, the decay should have stopped by now and if you check last community stream, our community managers looked a bit sad :-( So when"?When and if it leaves EA and if it is polished by that time. If this is far from done, I would probably suggest to close the game completely at this point, finish it and then come out with finished version.

compare the avg players of 2017-early2018 with mid-end 2018 and think again.

it's growing !

avg of 500-800 in the beginning compared to 1200+ during the last halfyear.

In such scenario, we would see a different effect in the statistics. We would see the trend slowing down, then stopping and picking up. That's not the case, the January drop is significant and probably means that dark times are coming. At this point I am really worried. I wish this game picks up from the ground, cause it's a great game and not just me, but many people feels that if it has better ui, continuous lobbies and the feeling of finished games, which is not that hard to deliver if you have some people who can work on the content, it would probably succeed in a "Full Game" mode. We have like 3 months now. If Bethesda or whoever is behind this still wants to stick to some "plan" and they are looking to deliver the game on the next QuakeCon, I really wonder and definitely want to see, how this ressurection gonna go.
inb4 all bethesda employees start damage controlling with the go-to argument "b-b-ut Steam doesn't take into account the players on Bethesda.Net Launcher app!!!"

Here's how to fix the game;

Pay a couple of NEETs 5USD per hour to play the game

it's a win/win situation. Quake Champions has players 24/7 and NEETs essentially get a job

Do you want to compare the aavergae now vs a year ago as well? The game has over doubled.
It's quake. Quake has never been popular and never will be.

Back then you had to pay to get into the game. Now it's free. There is no excuse.

Honestly I don't see the number going up much. I like to play 2v2 ranked and I'm glad it's back. Seems that development of new content is paused as next patch for March will only be bug fixes and optimizations. Previously these patches have made the games worse for many and better for a few. If they can make great optimizations and bug fixes this time it could be a good thing. Then they really need to make better content, fix game menu, release some kind of map making tool, possibility to mod etc. If Diabotical is a success it has a much bigger change of success than QC. I know many QC players that is waiting for that game...

I still hope QC stays around even if it's not fixed or developed much more. I still want to play the QC 2v2s. In the worst case I can go back to QL TDM 4v4 which I like or hope Diabotical is good.

Just one thing they should consider. It would be a big failure especially if there won't be a new official ID Quake game for many years or forever. Should they rename QuakeCon also or cancel it? I guess they could just keep it and have some small events for classic Quake games and Quake Live. But it would look really bad.
