The latest version of the game patched in the Halloween Event. You must be playing on the latest version to have access to the Event. It will only begin for you if that save is open when the Event begins, or when the game is opened for the first time after the Event begins. It begins on the 30th.

any idea at wich time it will start?

Patch notes in-game say. I can't tell you 100%, but it should be the same as all others: 1:01 PM UTC.

Thank you for the info.
Following copy-pasted from Kongregate site:
Global Reminder: The Halloween Event will be starting on Oct 30th 2017, 1.01 PM UTC and will end on Nov 6th 2017, 7.59 PM UTC.

Okay everybody it's MATH TIME!

So in order to finish all quests and feats for this event you must collect 3058 of EACH resource.

So lets break it down:

The event is 7 days 8 hours long, or simply 176 hours total. You gain 1 resource of a single type once per minute. In order to get 3058 of a SINGLE resouce without scrying or gifts it will take about 51 hours (50 hours 58 minutes to be exact.) So without scrying or gifts it would take about 153 hours to finish the event. That gives players about 23 hours of wiggle room to finish in time.

However, if you are going for all quests and feats you will also need to collect at least 6 pumpkins. Each pumpkin seems to give 75 of ALL resources. So if you collected the bare minimum of 6 pumpkins you would have an additional 450 of EACH resource, which would reduce the time needed per monster from 51 hours to 43.5 hours, or the total time from 153 hours to 130.5 hours. That gives players 45.5 hours of wiggle room to finish in time. Getting all 8 pumpkins would save you an additional 7.5 hours total. Furthermore, if you were lucky enough to get the bonus "early bird" 9th pumpkin you would have 54.75 hours of wiggle room to finish the event.

Finally we also have the ability to scry for event resources as well. The event scry bonus provides 1 of EACH resource at a rate of 1 every 15 minutes and lasts for 4 hours. These resources are added directly to your resources on hand NOT the on screen stacks. So a single scry bonus provides 16 (or possibly 15 if they didn't fix the final tick issue) of EACH resource, or in other words, each scry reduces the total time needed by 48 minutes. If you were able to scry continuosly for the entire event, you would gain 704 of EACH resource. This means that scrying could save you up to 35.2 hours.

All in all players will have AT LEAST 23 hours of wiggle room, and AT MOST 90 hours (3 days 18 hours). So in terms of fairness I'd say this event is actually pretty balanced.

Ack, and for newer players the words look like English but sound like they are in a different language :). For instance, how does one earn pumpkins?

Edit: Another question, are resouce stacks persistent across runs? In other words, the stack I have going now will it show up with the same number after abdication, or does it reset to 0? I have not got scrying yet so not even go to ask those questions.

its my first event, thank you for the math.

can someone explain what "scry" means? cant translate it and the definition doesnt make sense for me.

Scrying is watching ads which only works on mobile phones (had to read that up in the wiki as well since I've never playeds it on a phone XD)

My question is about the "stacks". Because I already fed my monster some ectoplasms and now I am not sure which numbers counts for the "stack". I now got Ectoplasm: 68 (134). Does the first or second number count for the "480 stack" Feat "Spooky" ?

I can help some. You earn pumpkins once every 24 hours by logging on or being logged on. They seem to open automatically.

Resource stacks are not affected by abdication, reincarnation or ascending.

Scrying is a Kongregate only option and doesn't apply to Steam players. I think it involves watching ads.

As for my question, is 3058 of each resource correct this year? From looking at the event screen it looks like we only need to get each monster to level 50. That's only 1100 each unless the price per level goes up. Or, do we need to get the monsters higher than 50 for completion?

edit: the stack referred to is the number on the main screen when you collect it.

It's possible to activate the bonus on kongregate and come back to the game on steam, the boost will still be on

i would say the stack means the number on the "gamefield". the event help say "stacking up to 480 units"

Ah, thanks. Only ever saw the "1" and didn't connect the dots. Thought that was normal.

And I was so afraid they might disappear again quickly that I didn't read the entire text. XD

So the quest is to wait until the loot has filled up to 480 in number when you click it? As in let's say, after waking up in the morning it will have gathered up the 480? (8 hrs)

thats what iam thinking (and hoping, because i will do it this way.)

A 'stack' is how many are on the screen at a time. A full stack is 480 at once.

When looking at the numbers of each resource (how many you have), the first number is how many you currently have, and the number in parentheses is how many you've acquired overall of that resource.

The price per level increases.
