Impossible to complete campaign
A number of times now in multiplayer, there doesn't appear to be a coalition NPC to speak to who will unlock passage to the next biome under circumstances that I can't quite pinpoint. This has caused the premature end of a number of games I've been in -- we have the reputation to proceed, but no NPC spawns to speak to who can unlock passage to the next biome. Undocking and redocking, leaving and returning does not help. The NPC just doesn't appear to spawn and therefore the passage cannot be unlocked and the campaign must be aborted. Since this issue is still in the game (I first noticed it a patch or two ago), any chance that the passageway unlock mechanic/conversation can be moved to some form of terminal interaction, like at the submarine switch terminal/UI? Something more permanent than a NPC which apparently isn't guaranteed to spawn and/or can be sabotaged by other players?

Hello and thank you for reporting this!

I hadn't heard of this issue before nor encountered it myself - the NPC should be guaranteed to spawn, but apparently that's not working as intended. Are you by any chance using any mods that might affect the map generation, outposts or scripted events? Does it happen at the end of some specific biome, or does it seem random?

In any case, until we manage to figure out what's causing it and fix it, it should be possible to work around this issue by using console commands. You can manually trigger the event by opening the debug console with F3 and entering "triggerevent unlockpathcoldcaverns", "triggerevent unlockpatheuropanridge", "triggerevent unlockpathaphoticplateau", etc depending which biome you're in.

Sorry for the trouble, I hope we can diagnose and get rid of this asap.
Thanks for the response. I sort of assumed it was a known issue, I suppose. Next time I run into it I'll try to remember to backup the save and submit a report.

My Barotrauma install is clean of mods. I have encountered this issue at the end of different biomes and I don't believe it to be biome specific. Sorry I can't be of more help at this time, I'll keep my eyes open for it now though.
