Deck Update: Salamangreat!

The Rebirth of Flame Speed Duel Mini BOX contains cards that help bring “Salamangreat” Decks to a new competitive level! Check out some of the top cards from the Rebirth of Flame Mini BOX that “Salamangreat” Duelists are using!

1.) Salamangreat Pyro Phoenix

Salamangreat Pyro Phoenix is a new Link-4 monster that uses 2 or more FIRE Effect Monsters as Link Materials. Since the “Salamangreat” monsters are all FIRE Cyberse monsters, they can all help Summon Pyro Phoenix. Pyro Phoenix has 2800 ATK, and if it’s Link Summoned using another Salamangreat Pyro Phoenix as material, you can destroy all cards your opponent controls! The Salamangreat Sanctuary Field Spell Card and the Salamangreat Transcendence Quick-Play Spell Card make it easy to use this effect, since they let you use Salamangreat Pyro Phoenix as the entire material for the Link Summon of another Salamangreat Pyro Phoenix. In addition to this powerful effect, Salamangreat Pyro Phoenix has a couple of other effects.

One of those effects lets you Special Summon a Link Monster in your opponent’s Graveyard to your opponent’s field. The other effect can be used if a Link Monster is Special Summoned to your opponent’s field, and lets you target that monster to inflict damage to your opponent equal to half of that monster’s original ATK. Special Summon a Link Monster from your opponent’s Graveyard to your opponent’s field with one effect of Salamangreat Pyro Phoenix, and then use another one of its effects to immediately inflict damage to your opponent’s Life Points!

2.) Salamangreat Spinny

Salamangreat Spinny is a Level 3 monster that you can discard from your hand to target a face-up monster on the field and increase its ATK by 500. Plus, if you control a “Salamangreat” monster other than Spinny while Spinny is in your Graveyard, you can Special Summon Spinny, but banish it when it leaves the field. You can discard Spinny to increase a monster’s ATK, then immediately Special Summon it to your field alongside another Salamangreat monster to set up a quick Link Summon or Xyz Summon.

3.) Salamangreat Miragestallio

Salamangreat Miragestallio is a Rank 3 Xyz Monster that you can Summon by combining 2 Level 3 monsters. Use Salamangreat Spinny as an Xyz Material to Summon it, and your Spinny won’t get banished since it becomes an Xyz Material instead of leaving the field!

Miragestallio has 2000 ATK and an effect that lets you detach an Xyz Material from it to Special Summon a “Salamangreat” monster from your Deck in Defense Position. Plus, if your Xyz Summoned Miragestallio is sent to the Graveyard as material for the Link Summon of a “Salamangreat” monster, you can target a monster on the field and return it to the hand. Using Miragestallio’s effect to Special Summon a Salamangreat monster from your Deck will facilitate Link Summons, and returning a monster on the field to your opponent’s hand will clear the way for direct attacks from your “Salamangreat” monsters!

4.) More Salamangreat Cards!

In addition to the three key cards above, other cards in the Rebirth of Flame Speed Duel Mini BOX also fit into the “Salamangreat” theme. Salamangreat Recureance is a Normal Spell Card that lets you return 2 “Salamangreat” monsters with different names from your Graveyard to your hand, and lets you add a Salamangreat Spell or Trap Card from your Deck to your hand if it’s destroyed by a card effect and sent to the Graveyard while Set. The cards you get with Salamangreat Recureance can help you Summon Link Monsters that you can use to win a Duel.

Rising Fire is an Equip Spell Card that is always treated as a “Salamangreat” card and can Special Summon a FIRE monster from your Graveyard equipped with Rising Fire. Plus, if Rising Fire is destroyed by an opponent’s card effect while in your possession, you can banish a monster on the field.

Finally, Salamangreat Foxer and Salamangreat Parro are new FIRE Cyberse monsters that “Salamangreat” Duelists can choose to use; Salamangreat Gift is a Continuous Trap Card that can draw cards from the Deck; and Fury of Fire is a Normal Spell Card that lets you Special Summon Salamangreat monsters from your hand or Graveyard in Defense Position with their effects negated. All of these cards give Salamangreat Duelists more options than ever before to include in their Decks.
