Crystal Beast

“Crystal Beast” Decks get a huge boost in the Rainbow Overdrive Main BOX with the release of Crystal Beast Rainbow Dragon, Ultimate Crystal Rainbow Dragon Overdrive, and Golden Rule. Crystal Beast Rainbow Dragon has 3000 ATK and can place itself in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell if it would be destroyed while it’s a monster. It also has a couple of effects that make it easy to fill the field with “Crystal Beasts.” The first of those effects lets you Special Summon Crystal Beast Rainbow Dragon from your hand when an attack is declared involving a “Crystal Beast” monster. The second of those effects lets you banish it while it’s a Continuous Spell to Special Summon a Level 4 or lower “Crystal Beast” monster from your Deck with its effects negated, and then add an “Ultimate Crystal” monster (like Rainbow Dragon) from your Deck to your hand. The new Golden Rule Equip Spell Card can place 2 “Crystal Beast” monsters, including Crystal Beast Rainbow Dragon, from your Deck into your Spell and Trap Card Zone and then Special Summon a monster to your field. By placing Crystal Beast Rainbow Dragon, you’ll immediately be able to use its effect!

Ultimate Crystal Rainbow Dragon Overdrive is a Fusion Monster that you can Special Summon from your Extra Deck during a Duel in which you Special Summoned an “Ultimate Crystal” monster. You Special Summon it by banishing 1 “Ultimate Crystal” monster and 7 “Crystal Beast” monsters from your field and/or Graveyard. It has 4000 ATK to start, but gains an additional 7000 ATK while 7 or more of your “Crystal Beast” monsters with different names are banished! Plus, its effect lets you Tribute it to shuffle as many cards on the field as possible into the Deck and then Special Summon any number of your banished “Crystal Beast” monsters! That makes it a powerful finisher in any Duel. The new Crystal Radiance Skill can help you fill up your Graveyard with different “Crystal Beast” monsters so that you can easily Summon Ultimate Crystal Rainbow Dragon Overdrive.

Dragunity

There’s only 1 new “Dragunity” card in the Rainbow Overdrive Main BOX, but it’s a great one! Dragunity Remus is a Level 2 Tuner that you can discard from your hand to get a Dragon Ravine from your Deck. Dragon Ravine is a key card in Dragunity Decks, and Dragunity Remus gives you reliable access to it. In addition, you can Special Summon Dragunity Remus from your Graveyard if you control a “Dragunity” monster, quickly setting you up for a Synchro Summon after you discard it.

HERO

“Elemental HERO” Duelists get a pair of in-theme cards in the Rainbow Overdrive Main BOX. E – Emergency Call is a new Normal Spell Card that adds an “Elemental HERO” monster from your Deck to your hand. You can use it to get key cards like Elemental HERO Stratos early in a Duel. You can also use it to get Winged Kuriboh LV6 – a new “HERO” card in the Rainbow Overdrive Main BOX.

Winged Kuriboh LV6 doesn’t have HERO in its name, but it’s always treated as an “Elemental HERO” and “Favorite” card, so you can grab it with E – Emergency Call. You can easily Special Summon it from your hand or Graveyard by banishing an “Elemental HERO” Fusion Monster or a Winged Kuriboh from your hand, field, or Graveyard. On the field it has another effect. hen an opponent’s monster declares an attack, or your opponent activates a monster effect on the field, you can Chain Winged Kuriboh LV6’s effect and Tribute it to destroy that monster and inflict damage to your opponent equal to half of that monster’s original ATK!

Invoked

Fans of Aleister the Invoker get a couple of new cards to work with in the Rainbow Overdrive Main BOX, making Decks built around the Spellcaster more powerful than ever before! Invoked Raidjin is a new Level 5 WIND monster that you can Summon by fusing Aleister the Invoker with any WIND monster. Its Quick Effect lets you target a face-up monster on the field each turn and change it to face-down Defense Position.

Invoked Augoeides is a new Fusion Monster that you can Summon by fusing Aleister the Invoker with any Fusion Monster. This card can destroy an opponent’s monsters and increase its own ATK to massive amounts!

The release of these two cards, in addition to the release of Invoked Mechaba in the new Speed Duel Special Set, greatly improves what you can do after Normal Summoning Aleister and using its effect to add Invocation to your hand.
