Tech Update: Majestic Magic Main BOX (SPEED)!
There’s a new Speed Duel Main BOX available in the Shop, and it includes powerful cards from a variety of themes including “Windwitch,” “Lyrilusc,” “Sky Striker,” and “Dogmatika!” In addition to theme-specific cards, it also includes a variety of strong tech cards that fit into lots of different Decks! Check out some of the top new tech cards from the Majestic Magic Main BOX (SPEED) that you can add to your Decks!

1.) Book of Eclipse

Book of Eclipse is already on the Limited 3 list, but it’s still emerging in PvP Dueling as a top competitive tech card from the Majestic Magic Main BOX. Book of Eclipse is a Quick-Play Spell Card that changes all face-up monsters on the field to face-down Defense Position. During the End Phase of the turn you use its effect, all face-down Defense Position monsters on your opponent’s field are flipped face-up and your opponent draws cards equal to the number of monsters flipped face-up by this effect.

Defensively, Book of Eclipse will put all of your opponent’s monsters face-down during your opponent’s turn, rendering them all harmless. Any that flip face-up during the End Phase will allow your opponent to draw a card from their Deck, but using Book of Eclipse to guarantee you another turn will allow you to take the victory before your opponent gets an opportunity to use most of those cards drawn.

Offensively, Book of Eclipse will prevent any of your opponent’s monsters from activating their effects by putting them face-down. This will allow you to continue your turn unimpeded by those monsters. Plus, Book of Eclipse neutralizes an opponent’s monsters without targeting them or destroying them, allowing it to affect a wide range of monsters, including those that can’t be targeted or destroyed. Even if you can’t defeat your opponent during your turn after activating Book of Eclipse, just defeating the opponent’s monsters that you put face-down will prevent those monsters from flipping in the End Phase, and prevent your opponent from drawing additional cards.

Book of Eclipse has a lot of competition in the Limited 3 category with cards like Crackdown and Compulsory Evacuation Device sharing its Limited 3 status – but some Duelists are already showing a preference for Book of Eclipse in their Decks. Expect to see Book of Eclipse at the top ranks of PvP Dueling!

2.) Dogmatika Punishment

Dogmatika Punishment is a new Normal Trap Card that was added to the Limited 3 List just like Book of Eclipse. Dogmatika Punishment lets you target a face-up monster your opponent controls and then send a monster with equal or higher ATK from your Extra Deck to your Graveyard. If you do, you get to destroy that targeted monster. This is a simple effect that, with the right cards in your Extra Deck, will allow you to choose an opponent’s monster and destroy it. Some monsters that can be included in the Extra Deck, including the new Titaniklad the Ash Dragon, have effects that activate if they’re sent to the Graveyard. Using those monsters will make a play involving Dogmatika Punishment even stronger!

Until the end of your next turn after resolving Dogmatika Punishment, you can’t Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck. Keep that in mind when using it, since it could prevent you from making other powerful plays later on.

3.) Graydles

The three new “Graydle” monsters in the Majestic Magic Speed Duel Main BOX are all capable of taking control of an opponent’s monster. Graydle Alligator will take an opponent’s monster if it’s destroyed by battle or a Spell effect; Graydle Cobra will take an opponent’s monster if it’s destroyed by battle or a Trap effect; and Graydle Eagle will take an opponent’s monster if it’s destroyed by battle or a monster effect. Taking an opponent’s monster to use it against your opponent can be a strong move for just about any Deck, making the new “Graydle” monsters possible tech choices for Duelists to consider.

4.) Overworked

Overworked is a new Normal Trap Card that destroys each monster on the field that has ATK higher than its original ATK. Some types of Decks, like Lyrilusc Decks, consistently Summon monsters with ATK higher than their original ATK. Overworked will wipe out all of those monsters at once! Although the impact of Overworked will vary based on the matchup you use it against, it’s a tech card to keep in mind due to its potential to turn the tide of a Duel in the right situation.

The Majestic Magic Main BOX contains lots of powerful cards that work in a variety of Decks, including the ones listed above. You can get packs of the Majestic Magic Main BOX from the Shop today and start adding these new tech cards to your Decks!
