Highlights from the Transcendence Miragias Super Mini BOX!

A new Rush Duel Super Mini BOX is here! Even though there are only 20 different cards in it, a bunch of those cards are strong enough to impact PvP Rush Dueling! Check out some of the highlights from the Transcendence Miragias Rush Duel Super Mini BOX!

1.) Illusion Strike Dragon Miragias

Illusion Strike Dragon Miragias is a new Level 7 Dragon with 2500 ATK and a powerful effect that can be activated by sending a Level 7 or higher Dragon Type monster from your hand to the Graveyard. This effect lets you choose up to 2 face-up Level 7 or lower monsters on your opponent’s field and decrease their ATK by 1500 until the end of the turn. Then, if Illusion Strike Dragon Miragias destroys a monster in battle during that turn, it can make a second attack on a monster during that Battle Phase.

Reducing two monsters’ Attack Points by 1500 each is a powerful effect that will make it easy for you to defeat those monsters in battle and inflict large amounts of damage to an opponent’s Life Points. Plus, attacking twice with Illusion Strike Dragon Miragias will allow it to take down both of those monsters in a single Battle Phase, and clear the way for your other monsters to make direct attacks. Illusion Strike Dragon Miragias has already been placed on the Limited 3 List, so you won’t be able to use it with other Limited 3 cards like Multistrike Dragon Dragias.

2.) Sevens Road Sorcerer

Sevens Road Sorcerer is a new Level 4 monster that you can use in your Deck built around Sevens Road Magician. You can use its effect by sending 3 face-up monsters from your field to the Graveyard. This effect lets you Special Summon a Level 7 or lower Spellcaster Type monster from your Graveyard face-up to your field. Then, if you Special Summoned Sevens Road Magician by this effect, you can Special Summon a Sevens Road Witch from your Graveyard face-up to your field.

Giving up 3 monsters may seem like a steep requirement to use this effect, but the payoff makes it worth it. Summon the Level 7 Sevens Road Magician from your Graveyard with its effect, and you’ll get the Level 6 Sevens Road Witch too! It takes some setup to use the effect of Sevens Road Sorcerer effectively, since you’ll need monsters worth Summoning with its effect in your Graveyard; but Summoning a Level 7 and Level 6 monster from your Graveyard by giving up just 3 monsters on your field could turn the tide of a Rush Duel!

3.) Dian Keto the Security Master

Dian Keto the Security Master is a Level 8 DARK Aqua monster with 2500 ATK and an effect that can get rid of a card that your opponent is holding onto. By sending a card from your hand to the Graveyard, you’ll get to look at your opponent’s hand, choose a card, and send it to the Graveyard. If your opponent was holding onto anything they were saving for later in the Duel, Dian Keto the Security Master can get rid of it. Plus, if you send a Level 7 or higher monster to the Graveyard by this effect, you’ll gain 1000 Life Points, pulling your opponent further away from victory.

Dian Keto the Security Master works particularly well with Mimi Imimi’s Disco Fever Skill. This Skill requires you to have at least 15 Aqua monsters in your Deck (except for WATER monsters), and requires that all Level 7 or higher Effect Monsters in your Deck are Aqua Monsters. As a Level 8 DARK Aqua Monster, Dian Keto the Security Master helps meet these requirements. During the turn you Normal Summon an Aqua Type Normal Monster, you can use the Skill to choose Aqua monsters on your field (other than WATER monsters) whose total Levels equal 10 or lower, and those monsters gain 700 ATK until the end of the turn. Using this effect can immediately increase your Security Master’s ATK to 3200 so that it can take down the strongest Level 7 and Level 8 monsters!

4.) Brick Phone Nyan Nyan

Brick Phone Nyan Nyan is a Level 4 LIGHT Aqua monster with an effect that you can use during the turn you Normal Summon it by placing a card from your hand on the bottom of the Deck. Brick Phone Nyan Nyan reduces the ATK of a monster on the opponent’s field by 500 until the end of the turn and then lets you add a Level 7 or higher Aqua Type monster from your Graveyard to your hand. Brick Phone Nyan Nyan has 1200 ATK, so that 500 ATK decrease from its effect will allow it to take down most Level 4 or lower monsters in battle. Plus, retrieving a high-Level Aqua monster from your Graveyard like Dian Keto the Security Master will help you set up an immediate Tribute Summon so that you can strengthen your field.

Brick Phone Nyan Nyan, like Dian Keto the Security Master, works particularly well with Mimi Imimi’s Disco Fever Skill. Use the Skill to increase the ATK of Brick Phone Nyan Nyan and so that it can destroy stronger monsters and inflict more battle damage!

5.) Dark Magician’s Curtain

Dark Magician’s Curtain is a new Level 2 Effect Monster with 700 ATK and 700 DEF. By paying 700 Life Points, Dark Magician’s Curtain lets you excavate the top 4 cards of your Deck. Then, you can choose up to 2 excavated Dark Magician and/or Dark Magician Girl and add them to your hand. The rest of the excavated cards are placed on the bottom of your Deck.

In a Deck built around Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl, Dark Magician’s Curtain has a chance to add those two key cards from your Deck to your hand in the middle of your turn. If you do get them, you can then Tribute your Dark Magician’s Curtain to help Summon them. Monsters that let you add cards to your hand after they’re Summoned are generally powerful. Even though Dark Magician’s Curtain leaves that up to chance, it’s no exception.
