NEW Structure Deck EX: Brave Hope!

There’s a new Structure Deck EX in the shop and it features Yuma Tsukumo’s signature monsters from Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL! Structure Deck EX: Brave Hope is built around Yuma’s ZEXAL Weapon – or “ZW –” monsters and his iconic Xyz Monster, Number 39: Utopia! Pair the new Structure Deck EX with Ultimate Leo Utopia Ray and the new ZEXAL – Ultimate Unite Skill that are being distributed in the KC Grand Tournament 2022 Celebration Campaign and you’ll be able to create a formidable “ZW –” Deck. Take a closer look at the strategy behind Structure Deck EX: Brave Hope!

Structure Deck EX: Brave Hope is built to help you Xyz Summon Number 39: Utopia and then use it to dominate a Duel. You can equip the new “ZW –” monsters to a “Utopia” monster you control in order to power it up by increasing its Attack Points and giving it new protection. ZW – Pegasus Twin Saber, for example, increases the ATK of a “Utopia” monster it’s equipped to by 1000 and, once per turn, lets you negate an opponent’s monster effect that activates. ZW – Eagle Claw is similar. It increases a “Utopia” monster’s ATK by 2000 and negates the effect of an opponent’s Trap Card once per turn. Some of the “ZW –” monsters can be equipped to a “Utopia” monster from your hand or your field, while others must be on the field before you can equip them to your “Utopia” monster.

Structure Deck EX: Brave Hope doesn’t just bring new “ZW –” cards to strategies using Number 39: Utopia. It also includes a new Equip Spell Card, Gagagarevenge, which can help you Xyz Summon monsters like Number 39: Utopia. Gagagarevenge lets you Special Summon a “Gagaga” monster from your Graveyard and equip it with Gagagarevenge. Then, if Gagagarevenge is sent to your Graveyard because the equipped monster was used as an Xyz Material, all Xyz Monsters you control gain 300 ATK. Yuma’s “Gagaga” monsters are great at facilitating Xyz Summons by helping to Special Summon monsters to the field and manipulating the levels of monsters on the field. Gagagarevenge makes Xyz Summoning even easier.

The new ZS – Armed Sage in Structure Deck EX: Brave Hope also helps to facilitate Rank 4 Xyz Summons. ZS – Armed Sage is a Level 4 monster that you can Special Summon from your hand if you control another Level 4 monster. Doing so lets you immediately Xyz Summon Number 39: Utopia. Plus, using ZS – Armed Sage to Xyz Summon Number 39: Utopia lets you add a “ZW –” monster from your Deck to your hand to quickly power up your “Utopia” monster.

Yuma and Astral’s ZEXAL – Ultimate Unite Skill further enhances the “ZW –” strategy. At the start of the Duel, it adds Number C39: Utopia Ray and ZW – Leo Arms to your Extra Deck, but locks you into only Special Summoning “Number” and “ZW –” monsters from your Extra Deck for the rest of the Duel. Once per turn and twice per Duel, this Skill lets you pay half of your Life Points to send a “Gagaga” monster from your field to your Graveyard and play a Gagaga Magician, Gagaga Girl, or Utopic Onomatopoeia from outside of your Deck with its Level changed to 4. This will make it easy to perform a Rank 4 Xyz Summon, and also reduce your Life Points so that you can use the effects of cards like Number C39: Utopia Ray that require you to be low on Life Points for their effects to activate. Finally, if your Life Points are at 2000 or below, the ZEXAL – Ultimate Unite Skill lets Yuma and Astral build the Overlay Network at the start of your next turn and transform into ZEXAL! Once transformed, you can Xyz Summon Ultimate Leo Utopia Ray simply by using a Number C39: Utopia Ray you control as an Xyz Material. Since Number C39: Utopia Ray can be Xyz Summoned just by using Number 39: Utopia as an Xyz Material, transforming Yuma and Astral into ZEXAL makes Summoning Ultimate Leo Utopia Ray as simple as combining 2 Level 4 monsters.

Ultimate Leo Utopia Ray has 2500 ATK and can give up an Xyz Material to equip itself with a “ZW –” monster straight from your Deck or Extra Deck. Plus, once per turn while Ultimate Leo Utopia Ray is equipped with a “ZW –” Monster Card, you can use its Quick Effect to target an opponent’s Effect Monster and negate its effects while halving its Attack Points. Ultimate Leo Utopia Ray easily equips itself with “ZW –” cards and gains an additional effect by doing so, making it the perfect Xyz Monster to use with the cards in Structure Deck EX: Brave Hope.
