Tech Update: The King of Vermilion Mini BOX!
There’s a new Mini BOX in the Shop, and in addition to powerful new cards that bolster old themes, this new set also includes some powerful tech cards that can be incorporated into a variety of strategies! Check out the latest tech available in The King of Vermilion!

Ally of Justice Catastor
Ally of Justice Catastor is an easy-to-Summon Level 5 Synchro Monster that can be Synchro Summoned by Tuning a Tuner with 1 or more non-Tuners. Catastor was a popular card in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME for a long time, and with good reason. At the start of the Damage Step, if it battles a non-DARK monster, Catastor’s effect destroys that monster. This effect makes it a powerful weapon against any non-DARK monster that isn’t immune to destruction. Ally of Justice Catastor also has 2200 ATK, which allows it to hold its own against other DARK monsters that it can’t destroy with its effect. Catastor may be easiest to Synchro Summon with Junk Synchron, which can Special Summon a Level 2 monster from the Graveyard to immediately set up Catastor’s Synchro Summon; but Ally of Justice Catastor is also a powerful Extra Deck option for any Deck that can Synchro Summon Level 5 monsters. This includes Blue-Eyes Decks that are able to Tune the Level 4 Keeper of the Shrine with the Level 1 Sage with Eyes of Blue or The White Stone of Ancients. You can expect to see Ally of Justice Catastor during PvP Duels.

Armory Arm
The Level 4 Armory Arm Synchro Monster can be Summoned by Tuning 1 Tuner with 1 or more non-Tuners, which allows it to work with lots of different Decks. Even though Armory Arm only have 1800 ATK, it packs a powerful effect. Once per turn, you can target a monster on the field and equip Armory Arm to that target; or, if Armory Arm is equipped to a monster, you can unequip Armory Arm and Special Summon it back to the field instead. While Armory Arm is equipped to a monster, it gives the equipped monster an extra 1000 ATK. Plus, if the equipped monster destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, Armory Arm inflicts damage to your opponent equal to half of the ATK of the destroyed monster in the Graveyard. Armory Arm will not only help you make your monster strong enough to overcome an opponent’s more powerful monster in battle, but it’ll also give you a way to inflict damage to your opponent’s Life Points to finish off a Duel. You can use Armory Arm in your Extra Deck to support any Deck that uses low-Level Tuner and non-Tuner monsters.

Meklord Emperor Wisel
Meklord Emperor Wisel is an iconic card from Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s and can be a powerful tech choice in Duel Links. Wisel is a Level 1 monster with 2500 ATK and 2500 DEF that can’t be Normal Summoned or Set. Instead, you can Special Summon it when a face-up monster you control is destroyed by a card effect and sent to the Graveyard, except during the Damage Step. While Meklord Emperor Wisel is on your field, your other monsters can’t attack; but it also has a powerful effect that annihilates Synchro Monsters. Once per turn, its effect lets you target a Synchro Monster your opponent controls and equip that target to Wisel. Wisel gains ATK equal to the combined ATK of the monsters equipped to it by this effect. Finally, Meklord Emperor Wisel has another effect that lets you negate the activation of a Spell Card that your opponent plays once per turn, and destroy that Spell Card.

Meklord Emperor Wisel has lots of effects, so its power is a lot to unpack. But all of those effects give Wisel a lot of utility. It’ll serve as a back-up plan when your opponent tears through your monsters with card effects, or you can use one of your own card effects (for example, the effect of Scrap Dragon or BM-4 Blast Spider) to destroy one of your own face-up monsters in order to force Meklord Emperor Wisel from your hand onto the field. Wisel will also single-handedly take down popular Synchro Monsters like Cyber Slash Harpie Lady and Stardust Dragon, and negate the activation of Spell Cards that opponents rely on to win. Combined, all of these effects make Meklord Emperor Wisel one of the most powerful tech cards in The King of Vermilion.

There are lots of strong cards in the latest Mini BOX. Which tech card from The King of Vermilion is your favorite?
