New Blackwing Cards in the Aerial Assault Main BOX!
There are lots of powerful Blackwing cards in the Aerial Assault Main BOX, and these cards make Blackwing Decks more powerful than ever before! Check out some of these cards that you can include in your Main Deck, and take a look at how they can be used effectively in Blackwing Decks and the current Kaiba Corporation Cup!

1.) Blackwing – Gale the Whirlwind

Blackwing – Gale the Whirlwind – a card that was always popular in Blackwing Decks in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME – was one of the most anticipated Blackwing monsters to be added to Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links! Now that it’s finally here in the Aerial Assault Main BOX, it’s able to take Blackwing Decks to the next level.

Gale only has 1300 ATK, but the fact that it’s a Level 3 Tuner that you can Special Summon from your hand while you control a Blackwing monster makes it easy to Summon and allows it to facilitate Synchro Summons. Its effect, which halves the ATK and DEF of any face-up monster on your opponent’s field once per turn, also allows it to weaken just about any monster to make it surmountable in battle.

2.) Blackwing – Simoon the Poison Wind

Blackwing – Simoon the Poison Wind is a Level 6 monster with a cool effect that lets you play Black Whirlwind from your Deck. Black Whirlwind is key for helping Blackwing Duelists add the Blackwing monsters they need from their Decks to their hands, making Simoon the Poison Wind a powerful card for holding the Blackwing theme together.

If you control no monsters and have Simoon in your hand, you can banish 1 other Blackwing monster from your hand to place a Black Whirlwind from your Deck face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zone, and then either send Simoon to the Graveyard or Normal Summon it without Tribute. Normal Summoning it will allow you to immediately use Black Whirlwind’s effect to add a new monster to your hand. Using Simoon’s effect stops you from Synchro Summoning monsters from the Extra Deck, except for DARK monsters; but since all of the Blackwing Synchro Monsters are DARK monsters, this is only a minor hindrance. Finally, the Black Whirlwind placed on the field by Simoon’s effect is sent to the Graveyard during the End Phase, and if it is, you’ll take 1000 points of damage.

3.) Blackwing – Zephyros the Elite

Blackwing – Zephyros the Elite is a Level 4 monster with 1600 ATK and a cool effect that lets you Special Summon it from the Graveyard once per Duel by returning a face-up card you control to the hand and taking 400 points of damage. There are lots of different applications for Zephyros’s effect in all sorts of different Decks; but in a Blackwing Deck, Zephyros can be used to return to your hand a Black Whirlwind placed on your field by Simoon’s effect so that it’s not sent to the Graveyard during the End Phase. Since Zephyros is a Blackwing monster, it also has synergy with all of the cards in the Blackwing theme.

4.) Blackwing – Sirocco the Dawn

Blackwing – Sirocco the Dawn is a Level 5 monster with 2000 ATK that you can Normal Summon without Tribute if your opponent controls a monster and you control no monsters. Once per turn, during your Main Phase 1, you can target a Blackwing monster you control and have it gain ATK equal to the total ATK of all other Blackwing monsters on the field. The targeted monster is the only one that can attack during the turn you use Sirocco’s effect.

This effect allows one Blackwing monster to gather the ATK of all Blackwing monsters, making that monster strong enough to wipe out just about anything. In essence, Sirocco’s effect allows your Blackwings to unite to defeat a monster that would otherwise be too strong for any individual Blackwing monster. Since Sirocco’s effect doesn’t stop your targeted monster from inflicting Battle Damage, using Sirocco’s effect to make a monster’s ATK massive is often a great way to defeat an opponent with one big attack.

5.) Blackwing - Kris the Crack of Dawn

Blackwing – Kris the Crack of Dawn is a Level 4 monster with 1900 ATK that you can Special Summon from your hand if you have a different Blackwing monster on your field. Like Blackwing – Gale the Whirlwind, Kris helps a Duelist flood his or her field with Blackwing monsters so that he or she can wipe out an opponent in a single turn or perform important Synchro Summons. Also, once per turn, Kris the Crack of Dawn can’t be destroyed by Spell/Trap effects, making it immune to popular cards like Treacherous Trap Hole.

There are MANY powerful Blackwing cards in the Aerial Assault Main BOX. Some of the ones not mentioned above include Blackwing – Blizzard the Far North, Blackwing – Vayu the Emblem of Honor, Blackwing – Oroshi the Squall, and Blackwing – Steam the Cloak. There are also lots of powerful Blackwing Synchro Monsters in the Aerial Assault Main BOX, including Blackwing Tamer – Obsidian Hawk Joe, Assault Blackwing – Raikiri the Rain Shower, and Assault Blackwing – Chidori the Rain Sprinkling. With so many powerful Blackwing cards in the latest Main BOX, Blackwings are sure to be a strong contender in the Kaiba Corporation Cup and in PvP Dueling. How do you think Blackwing Decks stack up against other popular Decks?
