Skill Rebalancing and New Updates to the Forbidden & Limited List!
Big changes to the Forbidden/Limited List and the way some Skills work are taking effect! Check out how these adjustments will impact PvP Dueling!


Adjusted Skills
1.) Beatdown
The Beatdown Skill, which could previously be used once per turn to increase the ATK of all face-up Level 5 or higher monsters you control by the number of Level 5 or higher monsters you control times 300 can now only be used once per Duel. That means the Skill no longer allows a Duelist to increase his or her monsters’ ATK each turn to triumph over otherwise equally matched monsters, but still allows a Duelist to do it once, or gain an Attack Point boost necessary to win a Duel.

2.) Master of Destiny
Sartorius’s Master of Destiny Skill has been a dominant Skill in PvP Dueling for a while now, used alongside Decks built with Desperado Barrel Dragon. Master of Destiny still guarantees that the first three coins a Duelist flips will land on heads, but the Skill update makes it so that the Skill only activates if you begin the Duel with a Deck that has 7 or more cards with different names that require coin tosses. This new requirement may force some Duelists to use more cards that involve coin flipping in order to take advantage of the Skill.

3.) Light and Dark
Umbra & Lumis’s Light and Dark Skill still lets you swap a DARK monster from your hand for a LIGHT one from your Deck, or a LIGHT monster from your hand for a DARK monster from your Deck, but now it can only be used when your Life Points decrease by 1000. This makes it a bit harder to search for key cards with the Skill at the beginning of a Duel.


Improved Skills
Popular PvP Skills were weakened in the latest update, but a few less popular Skills were also strengthened. These include Blessing of the Cyber Angel, Fusion Reserves – Roids, Dragonic Fusion, Fusion Time!, Master of Fusion, and Master of Rites. Changes to these Skills may make them more relevant in competitive Dueling.

Forbidden & Limited List Changes

Several changes to the Forbidden & Limited List will also shake up PvP Dueling and the most popular Decks. The Sanctified Darklord has just been added to the Limited 1 List, and Cyber Petit Angel has just been moved from Limited 2 to Limited 1. This change made to The Sanctified Darklord is a hindrance to the dominant Darklord Decks, whereas moving Cyber Petit Angel from Limited 2 to Limited 1 actually helps Cyber Angel Decks by allowing it to be used alongside Limited 2 cards like Cyber Angel Dakini and Machine Angel Ritual.

The addition of Darklord Contact and Neos Fusion to the Limited 2 List hinders Darklord Decks and makes it a bit tougher to effectively use Elemental HERO Neos in a Deck that isn’t built around the Neos theme. World Legacy Clash’s addition to the Limited 2 List makes it harder to use the card in many different Decks despite its incredible versatility.

The removal of Samurai Skull, Destiny HERO – Celestial, and Sylvan Marshalleaf from the Forbidden & Limited List entirely give a boost to three Decks that have fallen out of favor with competitive Duelists: Zombie, Destiny HERO, and Sylvan Decks. We’ll see if this boost is enough to reinvigorate the popularity of these Decks in PvP Dueling.

konami please just release manju, bird and senju are outdated to face actual meta game. as a ritual player you pass a really hard time when you draw your searcher and you just brick anyway. to make ritual decks relevant we dont need cosmic ciclones or bad outdated searchers we need a good searcher and two or three techs cards not wasted on cosmic ciclone.

You could just use Gishki Chain

Gisky chain is a good card but only works on full ritual archtypes like vendreads/cyber angels because you know the more spell/monster ritual cards the better it works, but even with the chain sometimes you just draw full mosters or full ritual spells also i want to play other ritual monsters like BLS, Zork,Relinquished etc, not only full ritual archtipes, these are the monsters who take full advantage of cards like manju or ARA

I don't think Konami will release Manju, it will completely devalue the oldest boxes containing Sonic and Senju. What Konami can do is, sell an EX (ritual) skill: Return a card from your hand to your deck, add Manju to your hand from outside of your deck. This skill can only be used once per duel.
